Pete had spent yet another sleepless night thinking about what Pam had told him. He had gone to Jess’s apartment and turned everything upside down looking for a single clue that would give credibility to Pam’s claim. He had found nothing. He then spent a good part of the night going through the secret camera’s he had installed in William’s office. He had previously installed surveillance cameras in all of the managerial offices at NextGen. He intended to use this for his own blackmail if things ever turned against him. As Pete was pulling out of the parking lot, William was driving in. He had been informed of Jess’s whereabouts by his informant and he had rushed to the hospital immediately after the meeting ended.
