Chapter 11: Silent Appeals

Prince Thariem couldn’t settle himself at the thought of the seven great princes leaving the capital on this very day. Darina was not manifesting herself for more than a day. He is embarrassed that Darina did not come to see the princes. He marched towards Darina’s room while his servants who followed him are carrying his gifts.

He was getting near Darina’s chamber and saw that the grand doors are open. Prince Thariem heard Marsden and Darina’s voices.

“My Lady, if you think you no more have your place, then you can join me. My land is willing to welcome you. My company could be glad for yours,” Marsden said. “Are all the things here in Clapestris worth your toil? You see, if you find things hard, you can tarry first. You can also leave Clapestris off. My service is ready to help you in that matter. I, myself, had many times left the Anglo-Saxons.”

“You absconder!” Darina outcried as she hit the table. Even Prince Thariem was taken aback by Darina’s outburst,
