Chapter 13

Josephine woke up to the bright rays of light that entered the room and she groaned before sitting up on the bed. She stayed like that for seconds before remembering that Lucas mentioned that they would be going to buy some clothes for her and her mood turned sour immediately. She stretched her hand to the side and took her phone from the table that was beside the bed. She checked her notifications, hoping that she would have some messages but she saw nothing and her heart sunk.

“I am so miserable,” she muttered to herself and got down from the bed, making her way to the bathroom.

When Josephine was done bathing and putting her clothes on, she walked out of the room and headed for the living room. She climbed down the stairs and when she got to the living room, she met Lucas there already dressed and probably waiting for her.

When Lucas noticed her presence, he smiled at her and greeted, “Morning Josephine.”
