Abigail closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She tried her best not to look at the words on the paper when she opened them again, but they were still there, staring back at her.

Her voice trembled as she spoke. "Father... are you saying you want me to take over Zeng Company? To be the one in charge?" Her eyes searched her father's face for any sign that this might be a misunderstanding, but his serious expression confirmed that she'd heard him correctly.

"Yes it is yours to keep. Your mother contributed to the success of this company before she died. It has been yours since the beginning. We wanted to give this to you, that was the original plan. We saved enough money for our baby girl. I should have told you earlier." Mr Williams said with a convincing smile, hoping she would believe him.
