Molly I've been jogging for a while but it's insanely hot and humid and the fact that I can't concentrate really isn't helping me. I slow down my pace when I see a small river appearing and eventually stop alongside it, take a seat on the ground, and enjoy the cold water that's in my sports bottle. I feel tears prickle at the back of my eyes but I fight to hold them in. These past 48 hours have been insane to go from traveling around the world to arriving in Texas and then meeting Tom's family. I already knew his parents and Jack but as for his other brothers I'd never met Zack, Callum, or Christian before but they all seem lovely except for Christian that is... Well, it's not that he doesn't seem nice it's more that he seems to have a problem with me and I wouldn't mind if I had done something to him but it seems like he disliked me before I even got here. I know he's got a lot going on right now. Tom told me all about his ex-wife and what happened with the kids and honestly, I t
Christian "Hey, Tom what time will you be finished here?" I'm in the horse stables putting new shoes on Nemo while Tom washes down Elsa when Molly's voice distracts me as she walks towards us and I'd be lying if I said that my heart doesn't speed up when I first see her. She's wearing a knee-length white dress, she curled her hair and left it hanging loose down her back while she's got sunglasses on top of her head keeping her hair out of her face. The one thing that stands out to me the most is the fact that she's not wearing any makeup, it's a rare thing to see in this town but I honestly love it and I hate the fact that I find her so fucking beautiful. "I won't be long baby girl, why what's up?" "I need to pop into town for a new laptop and some stuff, was wondering if you wanted to come?" As quickly as I found her attractive it fips back when I hear her speak those words. I wonder whose money she'll be spending because she lived off of Archie's money before he died and I have
Molly Christian is really starting to get on my last nerve, the guy has got a serious problem with me and he's not afraid to hide it even if he does deny it. I know that it's not about the fire because I'm pretty sure that he would have said something by now but whatever his problem is with me I wish he'd hurry up and spit it out because there's only so long that I can be polite to him. We quickly make our way across the field and get greeted by Ruby and John, Tom's parents and I'm honestly so happy to see them. It's been years since I've seen them and they honestly don't seem to have aged much the only difference now is Ruby's once long blonde hair has now been cut into a beautiful bob, and while her big blue eyes are as bright as ever, she's still so short bless her. Not that I'm much taller than her myself. John is a tall man with dark brown hair and matching eyes and I quickly realize that Zack, Jack, Callum, and Christian all take after him while Tom is the spit of their mom.
Christian I make my way back home while Brody sings along in the back seat, his excitement over his field trip tomorrow still bubbling away while all I can do is wonder what's going on at the house. Fuck she's been missing for two days well three days if you include the time the kids spent alone and now when she finally decides to reappear she's causing trouble. I hope the girls aren't witnessing her acting like this because that's the last thing they need. I turn off the main road and onto the dirt trail that leads to the farm when my cell phone starts buzzing in my pocket again. I pull over to answer it just in case it's Tom again but when I check the screen a number flashes across it but no name and as much as I want to ignore it right now I can't, I'm waiting on phone calls regarding the kids and I can't risk missing their calls. "Hello." "Hello, may I speak with Mr. Bowen please?" "This is Mr. Bowen." "Mr. Bowen my name is Sally Peterson and I am calling from CPS, child
MollyI'm so angry at Christian that I don't even realize how quickly I put all my shopping away. Fuck I can't even remember where I've put half of it, great! I need to distract myself for a while so I get started on setting up my new laptop so I can check in with work when Tom comes bouncing into my room and does a very dramatic show of falling on my bed as if he's just finished a 24-hour shift at a busy nightclub. "You ok there twinkle toes?" He takes a moment to think over what I've called him before his famous cheesy grin spreads wide across his face."Twinkle toes, I like it!" We both burst out laughing as he gets comfy next to me while my laptop quickly springs to life. '"I'm going to make dinner tonight give mom the night off. Pot roast and apple pie ok?" My mouth instantly waters at hearing what's on the menu tonight, the guy is one insane cook and it's been too long since I've tasted any of it."Yesss!" He chuckles at my response but I dont even care."Hey, Tom. Why do you
Molly I keep a firm grip on her wrist as I move around Christian so that I am now standing in between Amy and him except I'm standing so close to him that I can feel the heat from him on my back and for some reason, it sends a shiver through me. She tries to tug her wrist out of my grip but she's too weak. "Get your hands off me bitch!" She spits out, her face wrinkling up like she's 60 years old when in reality she must be in her late 20s maybe 30s. "You must be Amy?" I don't even try to sound polite to her I have no time for parents that abandon their children. "Yes, I am!" She suddenly stands proud with her shoulders out her head held high and both Tom and Zack burst out laughing while I try my best to keep my laugh in check. She tugs on my hand again but again I don't let her go "It's not nice when someone puts their hands on you when you don't want them to is it?" "Christian is my husband and I can do what I want to him!" Oh, this bitch is sure making it hard not to slap
Christian I have to admit watching Molly put Amy back in her place was fucking funny, she wiped the floor with her and didn't back down regardless of what she said. I also hate to admit that seeing Molly like that was fucking hot and a major turn-on. I've been nothing but an ass to her since she arrived here but still, she had my back; more importantly, she had my kid's back, and I can't forget that. Fuck she's even following Amy off the farm to make sure she leaves and already I know this is going to mess with my head even more. "That was fucking hot!" Jack suddenly blurts out while all my brothers quickly agree including Tom. "Molly has the biggest heart I know but she's also a tiger when she needs to be and she doesn't take kindly to anyone hurting her friends or someone she loves." "So let me get this straight... You have been nothing but a dick to her since she arrived and yet she still had your back just now?" Jack looks straight at me as he asks me the one question that I
Christian It's almost 6 and I will say that between the four of us, we have got every single room sparkling, and I've even managed a quick shower and change of clothes. Jack and Tom are bathing the kids as we speak and Molly excused herself and went upstairs to give me privacy which I appreciated. A knock on the door brings me back to the present and even though I know that everything will be fine and that there's no reason as to why the kids can't stay here I'm still so fucking nervous and more than anything I realize that I'm terrified that they will take Katie away from me and there won't be a dam thing that I can do about it. I open the door with a smile on my face but inside my heart is pounding. "Good evening Mrs. Peterson." "Good evening Mr. Bowen, please call me Sally." She has a warm smile and I'm hoping that's a good sign. "Please come in, Sally." "Thank you, Mr. Bowen." She wipes her feet on the rug at the front door before closing the door behind her and instantl
