It felt like the earth was going to open up and swallow us up. I flinched and wailed as I twisted to my side; just by the same right side I saw nothing initially. The entire place was bleak, cold and completely dark. It was quiet and somber in there and I felt a chill as the darkness engulfed me when my eyes shot open. It was the most piercing darkness ever- it was not merely the darkness that came out of absence of light, it was much more sinister.
