Louisa's POV
I couldn't believe this was happening to me. Josephine was literally filing the first suit, trying to blame everything on me! And the most tricky thing was, I didn't even know how to defend myself. I knew exactly what happened behind Lucas' assassination, Gianna's kidnapping, and last night's chaos in camp. But I didn't have any proof! The traveling druid had already been killed by Lucas. He obviously couldn't tell the truth behind the assassination and kidnapping. Mana and Mata could speak up for me, but their voices couldn't be heard by anyone except me. Josephine's maid was supposed to be the witness and testify to Josephine's crime, but she was gone. My only hope was Akela, but who would believe a crazy redhead girl? Especially when she knew nothing but shopping and daydreaming. Then, Josephine blew the final strike. "The potion box! Check her potion box! She was cooking something for all the solLouisa's POV "They were in my fucking way!" Lucas shouted back. I totally lost my temper and shouted, "Why can't you have some sympathy for other people?! Mana and Mata were already injured, but they were still trying to help and protect me. Your soldiers were wounded. They could be recovered and work for you again as soon as their wounds were treated. They were very good at what they were doing! Instead of getting a doctor, you abandoned them in the mountains to let them rot and die like animals!" Lucas roared, "Why can't you act like a normal woman?! Just shut the fuck up and lick my balls like everyone else?! All you have to do is to stay in my bed like a fucking doll and do what you've been told!" Zackery held me up in his arms and said, "Listen, why don't we take this into the tent?" "I'm not going into the tent! I have to treat those soldiers!" I said. Zackery held me in his arms and said, "Jafar and Zabel will take care of them. Now
Louisa's POV "Yes, I am an asshole, I'm well aware of that. You don't have to keep reminding me. But ever since you came into my life, you've been ruining my life. You haven't done anything to please me except in bed! You keep asking me to love you, but do you really love me?! You've fucking made cloaks for those imbecile frogs and never has it ever comes to your mind that you can make something for me! You went into a fucking shop, flirting with my Beta, choosing fucking gifts for him, his wife, and his unborn baby, but you've never wanted to pick a gift for me! There's nothing but that fucking warlock in your mind and you two really fucking deserve each other!" I grabbed my hair and couldn't believe what I'd heard. "Is this all about some clothes and gifts?! I've killed people for you! I've sacrificed my life for you! You've killed my surrogate father in the most brutal way, I still end up having sex with you! I no longer expect to get your love in return an
Louisa's POV Lucas collapsed on a chair like a deflated balloon. His face was bleeding. His shoulders were severely burnt and he looked really painful and miserable. The sensible part of me told me that I should help him. But the trainwreck part in me told me that he should be suffering like this for the rest of his life. Eventually, I gave up my internal struggling and walked towards Lucas. He looked up at me with grievance and infliction in his eyes. Then, he lowered his head without saying anything. He looked so hopeless and vulnerable. I sighed silently and looked at Zackery, "Can I have a few minutes alone with him? I promise neither of us will get killed." Zackery shrugged and said, "Little girl, I can't believe that you're still going to forgive him." He turned back and wanted to walk off, but then he stopped and looked back at me, "You know what? Sometimes I think you two really deserve each other." Then, he wa
Louisa's POV When I treated almost all the wounded soldiers, I walked to the stable with Mana and Mata. I've sent all my personal guards away because I didn't want to get them involved in my runaway plan. A carriage was parked in front of the stable and I could see Akela sitting inside it. When she saw me from the window, she waved her hands at me. "Hey, it's you!" She exclaimed with happiness. "It's great to have you here! When I woke up this morning, I remembered that I had forgotten something, but then, I couldn't remember what I'd forgotten. Now that I see you, I finally remember it. I have an appointment with you today to pick up my wedding dress! It's such a shame that Lucas can't come with me. But I guess he can't give me any fashion advice. Do you know that the King is going to host our wedding? I want a wedding dress that makes everyone solemnly weep with tearful joy. Do you like lace? I love lace, I know. It's very uncomfortable, but I
Louisa's POV When we arrived at the crossroad in front of Skagen City, I saw Alex sitting on a small carriage, waiting for me. "That's a very strange carriage. It looks like a ship." Akela said when she saw Alex's carriage in a distance from the window. As always, I didn't pay attention to her nonsense. I was so happy that Alex showed up on time. Mana and Mata stopped the cart, jumped out of the carriage, and ran towards Alex. "Hey, why did this carriage stop?" Akela asked. "Sorry, Akela. I can't go to the tailor's with you today. I have to see my friends. You can go ahead and go to Skagen City by yourself." I jumped out of the carriage and said. "Where are you going? Don't leave me alone here. I don't know how to drive a carriage. It's a servant's job," Akela said. I put the reins and whip into her hands and said, "It's really not that difficult. All you have to do is to pull this when you want to stop and wave this when you
Louisa's POV I looked outside and saw that we were literally above the clouds. I could see the houses, trees, and roads flying beneath the carriage. Akela was right! This isn't a carriage! It's a flying ship! I thought to myself. I really should have paid more attention to Akela, but I was too arrogant and thought I was smarter than she was. I knocked on the door and raised my voice, "Alex, why are we flying? Where are you going to take us?" "I'm sorry, Miss Louisa. You've always been so kind to me. But I have to follow Lady Josephine's order. She has my brother in custody. If I don't kill you, she'll kill my brother," Alex's voice sounded very distressed. I said, "I should have known it was you. The stable's door was unlocked and you were the only one who had the keys. You saw the missing bottle in my potion box this morning and you told Josephine about it. That's why she came into my tent and demanded to see my potion box. And the
Louisa's POV "Miss, I really think we should find a place to land now," Mana popped his head out of the flying ship and said. "Now you're talking! Good for you, Mr. Know-it-all!" Mata shouted at his brother. "You don't have to be so sarcastic! I'm scared now because half of this flying ship is missing and it's the very important part!" Mana shouted back. "Guys, please stop talking and hold Alex tightly. I'm trying to concentrate on landing now," I said. "Miss, why don't we land in the woods?" Mana pointed to the forest in front of us and said. "So we can be pierced like a skewer by the sharp tree branch with the smoke coming off the explosion of this flying craft baking us underneath our feet! Great idea, dickhead!" Mata shouted. Mana covered his head and said, "It's just a suggestion. You don't have to be so loud." I looked around and I could only see an endless forest and a lake. There was literally nothing else to l
Louisa's POV In despair, I pressed his chest and started to do CPR on him. I saw Uma do it once when one of the soldiers drowned. I didn't know how to do it correctly, but I knew I had to try my best to save him. "Do you need me to take you back to the land? It's a bit tiring to float like this with two human beings on top of me," the catfish said. "Yes, sure. Sorry," I said. I almost forgot that we were actually staying on the back of a giant catfish. While the catfish was swimming to the shore, I still didn't want to give up on Alex. His face became deadly white and I couldn't see any sign of life. As we approached the land, I struggled to drag him out of the water and kept doing CPR on him. "Is he going to make it?" the catfish asked. He was floating around the shore and didn't want to go away. "I don't know, but I have to try my best," I said. "Are those two fishheads looking for you?" the catfish ask
