Chapter 15

  When David opened his eyes, there was a vast expanse of white in front of him, surrounded by the sound of flowing water.

He was at the edge of the river.

Aching and numb all over at the same time, it took a lot of effort to just stagger up.

His eyes stung. He could hardly see, but having been able to practice this many years ago, he was able to grope his way to a stone road. The ground was a steep slope and he had to climb. After five or six steps, he heard someone talking.

But David was afraid that it was Paul\'s man and had squatted on the ground to hide.
