My eyes remained glued to him. It was hard to look away. Especially when spicy memories of our week-long honeymoon returned to my mind after seeing him.

The guests flocked to him as soon as he reached the bottom of the stairs. He instantly became preoccupied, and I took my time sipping my cocktail.

“He’s an eyecatcher, really,” Rory remarked. I forgot she was still with me. She was also watching the jerk and noticed the crowd that was formed around him.

I only smiled shyly.

A lady neared him and snaked her arm in his. She looked up at him and smiled seductively.

My lips pursed and my smile slowly vanished. I quietly observed the unfolding scene from the bar counter.

She said something and he replied, widening her smile. The crowd surrounding them slowly dispersed when they noticed his full attention on her.
