Chapter 13 Move Out At Once

Faye always thought that her mother had become a bitter woman after what she had been through.

After her sickness, Clint's betrayal, and Lizzy's homewrecking, she was emotionally wrecked, especially when Faye left the country.

So why was she asking about her medication now?

"What? Do you think your mother should be crying her eyes out over that asshole?" Flora could see that Faye was shocked by her question. She smiled sarcastically. "I feel like whacking you in the face."

Faye threw her arms around Flora excitedly. "Mom! Oh, this is awesome! You're back to the person you once were!"

Indeed, Flora was once a strong, independent woman in the workforce. She'd built a company all on her own and had taken it to greater heights. She'd even helped Clint turn from a nobody to a business veteran.

No one expected her to fall sick six years ago. Once her illness began, Clint's warmth and gentleness disappeared.
