Ch16: Rescued from a stranger

Rex sat uneasy and nervous in his car memorizing every line he was going to say when he sees Cherry. For each line he stuttered terribly making him reconsider his decision to apologize. Still having the determination to make things right between them he kept practicing.

“Cherry, urr- you forgot your handkerchief. No darn it, that sounds cheesy.” He sighed annoyed and upset with himself. A few minutes after Cherry left the company, Rex could not rest or go home because his guts told him to follow Cherry ‘and do what?’ He had no idea, and now he was seating quietly in his car like a creep trying to cram numerous words he would use that he hoped not to upset Cherry.

“Cherry, look I am your boss and I got to check on you. Gosh I sound like a fool. I think this was a bad idea. So far, I have managed to make myself look stupid before seeing her. I wonder how much of a fool I would make of myself.” Rex argued with himself for a while before lowering the car window
