Luna Charlotte

Charlotte…

I kept on running and I noticed that I was faster. I felt sick as flashes of the beatings I have received from the Alpha played in my head.

Tears have been falling non-stop. I have never cried like this before, not even when the pack abused me.

"An Alpha can't be our mate," I told my wolf.

"Charlotte, just relax, he's not like the Alpha of your pack," she said, and I wonder if she was always here with me.

How is it even possible for an Omega to be mated to an Alpha? I know my parents always said that Alphas usually mated with another high rank.

Why didn't he come after me?

Is it because I'm an Omega?

I know for sure that he will reject me.

"Try not to think too much about it Charlotte," I hear my wolf say.

"It's hard."

"I know let's do something to take your mind off things , how about your shift? How does that sound?"

"How? I have never done this before," I told her, feeling embarrassed.

"Think of yourself in wolf form, forget about everything and anyone around you."

I close my eyes and start imagining myself in wolf form.

I suddenly felt my wolf taking over and all of a sudden, I was on my hands and knees, and I started to feel it. My bones are cracking and breaking. It hurts so much that I wanted to pass out from the pain, but I try to endure it.

I never expected that I would transform into a wolf at the age of twenty.

I started screaming as I shifted but it came out as a loud growl. My hands tried to grab onto something to help me with this pain, but I couldn't find anything.

All I could feel was excruciating pain all over and it did seem to stop making me sigh in relief.

I slowly open my eyes looking at my surroundings then I look down at my feet or in this case my paws.

I'm in wolf form!

I couldn't believe it! My biggest dream finally came true!

I wanted to shout out from happiness, but it came out as a howl

“Go for a run Charlotte," I hear my wolf say.

I nodded my head and was just about to run.

"I'm a red wolf," I said, sounding confused.

"How is it even possible?" I asked my wolf. I have seen black, gray, and brown wolves but never have I seen a red wolf.

"Let's go for a run, you need it," my wolf ignored me instead.

I started walking slowly inside of me, the pulling of my mate was still there and I tried to avoid it.

I started running thinking about my mate who doesn't want me because if he did, he would have come after me.

I was faster in wolf form than I have ever been in human form. I enjoyed the wind blowing through my fur as I run deeper into the woods

I let the adrenaline rush through my veins enjoying the breeze of the wind.

We were now in the open near a waterfall and I slowly walked toward it but something caught my attention.

He is here.

I can feel him, I can smell him, our mate is here.

I turned around as I scanned the woods with my eyes. I couldn't see him, but I could feel him.

I decided to walk back the way I came. I don't want to see him or talk to him. He makes me feel afraid because he is an Alpha.

I was almost back in the woods when I saw something coming closer, I turned towards the movement, and I realized it was him.

He was walking slowly towards me, making me step back.  His smell was overwhelming me pulling me towards him, but I had to be strong, I don't trust him.

What if he only came here to kill me?

"He won't hurt us," my wolf said but I'm afraid even if she's telling the truth.

"We don't know that" I told her as I watched him walking closer.

I have to get home and lock myself up. It's the only way I will be safe from him. I hope so.

I backed away with each step he took, and I don't know what came over me. I guess it was instincts but the next thing I know I started running.

Yes, I ran away from my mate again. Call me a scary cat. I don't care.

I run as if my life depended on it.

I need to get away from him. I pray that he won't follow me because if he does, I'm in big trouble.

I just want to be away from him.

I can hear my wolf whimper as I'm getting away from our mate.

"I'm sorry," I told her.
