Reaching the top of the staircase, I glanced down the dimly lit hallway and made the choice to follow Killian to the left. He led me towards a pair of imposing doors at the end of the corridor, his touch gentle yet reassuring.

"These are our rooms up here. Given how bustling the house usually is, I prefer to have my own private space. There's a bedroom, a bath, and a cozy sitting room reserved for members of the pack," he explained, his voice laced with a warm smile as he swung open the doors, inviting me inside.

As I stepped into the room, sunlight flooded in from the windows, casting a golden glow across the space. It was far larger and brighter than I had imagined, with a king-sized bed occupying one side and a spacious closet dominating the other.

Through an open doorway, I caught a glimpse of a sitting area, complete with a crackling fireplace and inviting couch. Another door hinted at a lavish bathroom.
