After Bert made sure that she was satisfied with the morning meal she had eaten, they started the tour of the mansion. In another part of the city, inside a big air-conditioned office with different trophies neatly arranged on the shelf and turned towards the entrance so it could show off the glory of its master, a man sat on the sofa provided at the other end of the office. He had a calm posture as he flipped his office file one after the other. His skin wasn't pale but white and attractive which could sweep girls off their feet. Allen arrived home in his car alongside Xander and his brother, Kyle. He walked in and saw that the house was lifeless, not that it was expected to be filled with life though. He couldn't sense any being's presence. He furrowed his eyebrows as he climbed the stairs to his room. On his way, he stopped in front of the room Jane slept in last night and stared at it for a while. He felt a different yet strange energy coming from the room but he continued his walk. On getting to his room, he scanned his right palm to unlock the door and entered.He closed the door and removed his suit before pouring himself a glass of his red drink as usual. Instead of gulping it down as once, he simply relished the warm taste of the drink. Someone knocked on the door but he didn't respond for a minute. The person knocked again. "Come in. " His cold voice ordered.Bert walked in, slightly shivering as he faced Allen. "Where is she? " Allen asked. " She went out this morning and she is yet to be back. "

Jane wriggled slightly as her eyes fluttered open. She squeezed then a bit and yawned. Wait... Why did it feel like she was hugging a stiff object? She opened her eyes more clearly to see what was ongoing, she saw that she wasn't hugging a stiff object but a stiff human, a stiff what now? She raised her head only to face Allen's light brown eyes staring at her. If she was to compliment him through words, he looked gorgeous like an idol. She just couldn't believe that she was here with such a handsome man. She froze for a while because Allen didn't even blink as his stare intensified. " If you are done... "Allen's voice sounded cold.She dashed away from him and covered her face with her palms, her face had turned crimson. Why did it have to happen? Allen looked at the woman who was now blushing hard. " I am so sorry. I didn't mean to. " Jane apologized. " You didn't mean to? You were clinging to me like a Koala bear. "Allen spoke as he stared at her and this made Jane blush harder.

Bert drove around the City with Jane in the backseat. She was silent as she watched the buildings that the car sped past, she was in deep thoughts about her life and also about Allen. She thought that he wouldn't agree to her demand that easily but he did contrary to her thoughts. She could see that he was in turmoil becausehis eyes revealed emotions she couldn't figure out. Bert looked at the woman in the backseat through the rearview mirror. She looked sullen so he decided to cheer her up."Miss Jane, I hope that you don't take Allen's behavior towards you so seriously? A car drove into a penthouse swiftly and parked beside the buoyant flowers. The whole compound was fenced and heavily guarded by strict-looking men. The driver got out of the car and opened it for his boss who walked in like a king without any hindrance from the men. The penthouse was huge enough to accommodate many people as extra illegal activities were being carried out by men dressed in black and had masks glued to their faces that would remind someone of the movie; Squid game. The man continued his work deep into the building, not a care in the world what the men were up to.On his way, two amed men that weren't legal officers but more like thugs approached him with guns in their hands. "It is good to have you here, Mr. Stephen, please come with us. "One of the armed men spoke and Stephen nodded as they proceeded into an elevator that took them ten feet under the ground. Jane ran into the mansion in a haste with Bert behind her. She had gone to visit her brother in the hospital but she was quite surprised when she got there and found that his room was empty. She headed straight to Doctor Blake's office but he wasn't on duty for the day neither was Joy. When she approached the nurse, she told her that two men came here to take him away after receiving an order from above which stupified her."How can you just let anyone walk in and take away the patient without my consent? " Jane screamed at her and dialed Blake's number who assured her that he was going to find out who it was.
