CHAPTER 9: Homecoming

"Home sweet home," I said as we came to Solveig Fortress, our home before I decided to stay in Mortal Realm. I sat on the sofa in the middle of the library while the twins looked amazed.

I want to give a round of applause to whoever the creatures that take care of it because the place looks almost the same since I left here.

Slate gray colored walls. Pure white granite floor. Midnight black doors. And the high shelves that reach the ceiling surrounds us. How I missed this place.

From the corners of the library appeared the pixies who had cared for Fortress ever since. They are the ones who organize things here and maintain their beauty.

"Welcome back, Lady Adhira." They politely greet me. And I almost roll my eyes because of what they call me. How many times have I told these creatures 'Drop the Formalities' and just call me Hira? However, I just put aside what I was thinking and nodded at them in response to their greeting.

"What can we do for you, Hira?" Liusaidh, the standing superior of pixies at Fortress, asked me.

As usual, she is still wearing a gold pixie dress. Its golden wings, which are as bright as its eyes, are also remarkable. Another is that she still looks in her 20s while as far as I know, she is in her hundreds. Well, she's an immortal in the first place.

"Nothing, Liusaidh. I'm just bored in the mansion. Plus the fact that there are two creatures that just about to wrestle just for a remote." I retort. And Liusaidh only chuckles at what I said.

"Oh, Liusaudh. Where's Alaric and Audra?" I ask the gold pixie. Since we don't have classes for a few days, maybe I can visit my siblings, right?

"If I'm not mistaken, Audra and Alaric visited the university today." She said in response. I just nod my head before I turn my gaze to the twin whose quietly stood to one side.

"Matt, Emma, let's go to university."

~

"Where are we going to find them here?" Matt asks as we got inside the university.

It is not easy to find someone you don't know where is the exact location because it is ways bigger than the university in the Mortal Realm. So it will definitely take us a few hours if we do not know where to go.

"I bet they are Headmaster's Office again. That's where they usually hang out." I said as we started walking inside. As usual, all eyes are on us now. Nevertheless, we chose to ignore the whispers and stares of the crowd.

"She's Lady Adhira, right?"

"You mean, the last born sibling of Master Alaric and Lady Audra?"

"Isn't she in the Mortal Realm?"

"Yes, she is." We abruptly stopped walking as we heard the voice of a woman behind us. I looked at her and found out that she's not alone. Behind her, there are two men and a girl.

The man by her left has a pair of cerulean blue eyes and hair, so I can easily say that water is his power. The woman standing next to him had green eyes. An Earth Elementalist, perhaps. At the back is another man with white eyes faultlessly matched to his white hair, contributing to his undeniable good looks. He also looks like someone who will never care about other's business.

They are all in the uniform of the highest section here and their nameplates are eye-catching. Its color is black, and that means they are the most powerful among all of the students.

The woman at the front smiled but it was obviously fake. "To whom are you looking at, Hira? I'm the one in front of you." The woman in front of me said annoyingly.

Her eyes are red, but compared to me she is in a lighter shade. She would have been beautiful all over if you will not consider her attitude.

"I'm sorry, but I'll still look for Alaric," I said coldly and was about to turn my back at her, when she immediately overtook me on the arm causing me to face her again. "I'm not yet done talking ', dear." She said and winked at me.

"Oh my! This will be a good fight!"

"Isn't she the last-born sibling Master Alaric? Then, she must be powerful!"

"Gosh! This is not good!"

I heard various reactions from people. Some side with this woman named Sophia, while others believe in me. If they only knew. My eyes searched for the twins and I saw that they were both facing their own fight.

"Why are looking at them? I'm the one in front of you, dear." She said as she tightens her grip on my arm causing me to frown slightly. She smirks at me and whispered. "Let's see if they will still respect you after what I'm going to say."

She turned her gaze to the crowd around us and began to say things I did not expect her to know. "Attention, everyone." She calls to their attention. "This girl beside me is Adhira Solveig. The youngest sibling of Master Alaric Solveig and Lady Audra Solveig, which were both known to be the most powerful Mageian. They are called as the Igetes most of the time for being that powerful."

Then she turned her gaze upon me. "But did you know that this girl beside me, their youngest sibling is powerless?" I felt a bolt out of the blue as I heard what she said. How did she know I could not use my power? What more does she know?

There was a lot of rumor around after what he said. Many eyes are judging me this time. Their gaze at me right now is piercing to my soul. Nonetheless, I had to calm down. It is also for their safety.

"You heard it right! She is powerless! Look at her eyes! It's carob-brown, right? We are all aware that one's power can be determined by their eye color. She doesn't have a strong aura either. She's nothing but pathetic powerless trash!" She added. And now, I feel a sudden surge of electricity in my body. I've heard enough.

I turn my back but I suddenly felt her pulling my hair. I almost cried in extreme pain. But I choose to hold back my tears. I won't give her the satisfaction.

"I'm not done yet, your garbage." She said while still smiling at me mischievously. "And to answer one of your questions earlier, yes she chose to live in the Mortal Realm. Why? Well, aside from being powerless, she is also a coward."

'Please, stop. Before I could hurt anyone.' I said pleadingly in my thoughts as if there's someone who could help me.

"Yes! She is a coward! She will never deserve to be respected for she is the worst being! She is just pathetic powerless trash that is coward enough to hide in the Mortal Realm."

I feel a huge amount of power surrounding me right now. I have to go before I could hurt anyone. Again. I was about to run when someone grabs my arm harshly causing the sleeve of my blouse to be removed. And now, my arms are exposed as well as my seal—my seal that looks like dragons.

I heard gasps from the crowd. I could feel everybody around me stop what they are doing. And most of all, I can see the fear in their eyes. I walk confidently towards Sophia who's currently holding the removed portion of my blouse.

"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. You keep bragging about me being powerless trash, but do you know why I'm powerless?" I ask her while leaning closer to her.

Fear. That is the only one evident in her eyes right now. She's trembling and I think, she's about to cry.

She said that I'm powerless, but now she's trembling in fear? Pathetic.

"Do you know why?" I ask her once again teasingly. But she just shook her head simultaneously while a few teardrops escape her eyes. And with that, a mischievous smirk was plastered on my lips.

I lean closer to her and whispers, "It's because of these dragons on my both arms." I can feel my urge to kill more and more. I can feel the dangerous power flowing in my system slowly consuming me. I don't know why, but it feels great.

I can feel my eyes changing its color. From intense blue, it's already flickering bloody red. "T-the s-seal-l of-f the G-goddess." She whispered using her trembling voice. I want to laugh at her because of how she acts. A while ago, she just brag to everyone how pathetic I am. And now, she's trembling in fear just by seeing my seal. She's afraid of the one she called powerless? Funny.

"Yes, dear. This made my powers sealed and my appearance to be pathetic like what you've said." I said with a mischievous smile on my lips.

I want to kill her at this moment. She deserves to. But before I could move, I sense a strong presence beside me. His warm hand is on my right shoulder and gave me a familiar effect. He's touch that constantly makes me calm.

I began to feel nauseated as my system gradually calmed down. I was about to lose my consciousness when someone wraps his arm around my waist. I was surprised as I recognized who is it for he will be the last on my list to help me in this kind of situation.

As usual, he's wearing his signature ear-to-ear smile but the only difference is he has a pair of eyes glowing tranquil blue. And before everything turns black, I manage to call his name and give him a grateful smile.
