Chapter 13

They stopped by a pharmacy to buy her ointment and cornettos. She thought they were going to go straight back home but Kenji brought her to the park where they sat on a bench. There were not a lot of people there and it was quiet.

"This is the last time I am going to be good to you so you better be good to me too," Kenji suddenly stated, handing her an ice cream. "Where have you been?"

"I went to see Lucas. I had to make up with him before he leaves the country."

"You guys broke up?"

With a frown, Hayley turned to throw Kenji a glare. Why does this dude keep on insisting that she has a boyfriend? 

"Lucas is not my boyfriend, you idiot!"

"Ah, so you're saying you two don't have a label but love each other? Something like that?"

 Hayley snorted, rolling her eyes, and started opening her ice cream. It's much more sensible that she eats her ice cream before it starts melting than answer her husband's ridiculous questions.
