He saved her ass

Mr. and Mrs. Williams' faces lits up in excitement as they glance over to Ren almost every second. Seeing their only child have a man in her life has been one of the best things that they ever wanted, and it seems like their dreams are finally coming true.

While her parents are busy admiring the handsome man that their daughter finally chose, Alicia is sitting frozen in her seat and still trying to understand what's happening. The last time she checked, he didn't agree when she asked him for this, so how the heck did he suddenly show up at her dad's house? How the heck did he even get her house address?

"Be careful with that, babe," Ren says when water spills on her body, and she raises her gaze to look at him, still having that confusing expression on her face.

"Wow! Your fiance is cute, Alicia," Adelie commends, and Alicia just gives her a fake smile. Lisa can't just stop glaring hard at her, and her parents too.

"So tell me, how long have you and my daughter been together?" Mr. Williams suddenly asks out of the blue, and Alicia almost chokes on her food, but she tries to hold herself in.

"We've been together for seven months and two weeks, Sir. She's wonderful and sweet," Ren smiles warmly, reaching out for her hand and giving it a light squeeze.

"Wow! She never mentioned that to us, you know..."

"I told you, dad. I mean I did recently," She finally speaks up for the first time, trying so hard not to sound nervous.

"Aww! Look at my baby. She's blushing," Her mom chuckles softly.

"It's already late. You'll spend the night here with us, right?" Mr. Williams further asks, and her eyes slowly widen in shock. There's no way she's going to let him pass the night with them knowing that she'll be made to sleep in the same room with her.

"No, dad. Ren will be going to the office tomorrow, and you know he needs to get enough good sleep at home later so he won't be too tired tomorrow. Right, babe?" She says to her dad before tilting her head to look at Ren while having a creepy smile on her face.

"I'll do anything for my sweetheart, you know? If dad wants me to stay here, then I will leave everything behind and do that. I know you're shy to say that you want me here, you don't have to," He says to her with a smirk dancing at the corner of his lips, and she slowly grits her teeth angrily. He's doing this intentionally, and of course, she knows that.

"Wow! You're so considerate. Of course, that'll be fine," Mrs. Williams smiles excitedly, and Alicia sighs silently.

A few minutes later after the dinner, everyone retired to their room, while Mr. William and Ren stayed in the living room and chatted for hours before he finally left to meet Alicia in the room.

Walking down the hallway, he finally stops in front of Alicia's room and pushes the door open. He walks in to see her standing at the window side and looking out while having her hands crossed on her chest.

"I thought you would be asleep already. What are you still waiting for?" He asks as he throws himself on the bed tiredly.

"What was that all about, Ren?" She finally turns around to face him with a deadly glare on her face.

"What was the meaning of what?" He asks confusingly.

"Don't give me that dumb look. What the fuck was with that acting out there?" She fires angrily, and he scoffs unbelievably.

"You asked me to pretend to be your boyfriend, and I did. You should be grateful to me for saving your ass out there..."

"That didn't give you the right to kiss me. And you don't talk to me in that manner, you little jerk. I'm old enough to be your sister," She snaps at him, and he rolls his eyes. Thanks to the soundproof room, if not people would've heard them arguing in the room.

"Nobody would believe it if I hadn't kissed you. Wait, you think I wanted to? Snap out of that, Alicia. You're too mean, and I wouldn't have thought of that if I don't want to spend the rest of my life six feet under the ground..." He rolls his eyes as he stands up to his feet.

"You said you're old enough to be my elder sister? That's mean. I know I'm a young handsome-looking gentleman, but you shouldn't talk to me like that. I'm still a man, and besides, I should get some respect from you henceforth since I'm going to be your fiance," He rolls his eyes, taking off his shirt.

"And what the heck do you think you're doing?" She snaps at him, and he sighs briefly.

"It's obvious that I want to go shower and get some sleep," He whines frustratingly.

"I'm not done talking. Who sent you here? How the heck did you even know my house? Do you know how I felt out there? You made me look stupid. I was going to tell my dad that there was no boyfriend..."

"And you suddenly have a fiance now. You should be grateful to your good friend. She saved your ass. I can imagine the tears you would've shed over the night, after your cousins must've been done with you," He says to her before heading to the bathroom. Twisting the doorknob, he pushes it slightly open.

"By the way, your dad is a good man, and I think I like him already. Spending a few days here won't be a bad idea. I mean, I won't mind," He smirks at her before he finally pushes the door open and walks in, while she glares at him angrily. 'Gosh! Why would Lilian do this? Turns out that I have a demon thinking she's a friend' she mutters to herself as she slumps on the bed and runs her fingers through her hair...
