Loss of Everything.

Richard woke up the next morning to an empty side of the bed.

Cold and empty.

And so is her side of the wardrobe, her makeup products, skincare and bathing materials all gone.

Shoes, bags, everything, even her smell...

It's all gone.

He stood up, smiling and drinking the sunlight. "I'm finally free. I can do whatever I want now without consequences from anyone."

He stands up and dances in the shower, feeling very happy.

Ignoring the vibrations of his phone, he makes his own breakfast of toast bread and coffee.

He makes very bad coffee but he drinks it anyway, just for the joy of it. When it's finally time to leave home for work, he grabs his keys and phone.

Inside the car, he checks and sees that he's had multiple calls from Arielle and some other members of the executives of his company.

He checks his texts but there's only one from Arielle.

As he reads his, his earlier joy dies out and the day becomes very very sour.

He fishes around in his briefcase but he can't seem to find what he's looking for.

The divorce papers.

"That bitch. She took them with her." He seethes.

He re reads the message from Arielle and all that's left of him is fear.

"Call me as soon as you see this message. Who owns the company? Did you transfer to your wife? What's going on? It's not even your wife? It says here Ivy Hall. Please fucking call me!"

Richard immediately knows what's going on and he drives crazily down to his office where he meets the doors locked.

As soon as his employees see him, they crowd around him, everyone with a question of theirs.

Amongst the employees, reporters are also there to take the exclusives of what's going on with the most recognized Financial company in all of New York.

Arielle parts the crowd and stands in front of him. "I received a memo this morning, saying I had been fired. And that the company has been transferred back to its original owner, Ivy Hall. I know your wife is Ivy so obviously its her. What's wrong sir?"

For someone who awoke that morning with a spring in his steps, it's become more of a nightmare.

He himself doesn't know what's happening.

Trying to save his face, he grabs his phone. "I'll make a call to the Financial Commission now and rectify all of this. You all can have the day off."

The crowd disperses except a few who stays around to know what's actually going on.

He really makes the call to the Financial Commission. "Hello? Am I on to Gean leader Terrence?"

"Yes. How can I help you?"

"I'm the CEO of Trust Financials. We were locked out of our offices today, why?"

"I personally locked the place myself. I received strict orders from above that the place belonged to someone else who's come back to take what belongs to her. Give me a minute to check the name..."

Richard already knows the name that's going to pop up.

Once his puppet, now his doom.

"Yes, here it says it's a certain Ivy Hall."

"But the company is mine!" He tries to assert.

"No sir. You're wrong about that. On closer inspection, we discovered the company had always belonged to her. It was registered under her title after all."

He hangs up.

Richard drops his phone and musters a small smile. "I and my wife had a little biff yesterday, I mean it's a normal occurrence. I don't know why she'd joke with me like this. It'll be solved in a day. I'm sorry for the inconvenience." He announces as he gets into his car to find his wife.

Scratch that.

His ex wife.

He cruises around town but sadly, she's nowhere to be found.

He sweats profusely, trying to find her, calling everyone he knows is remotely associated with her only to hear that they've not seen her in years.

Some of them even joked about him being the locking her up with his 'love'

Frustrated, he dials her number the hundredth time.

It rings as always.

Then she picks it up. Her lazy voice coming through the phone. "What is it?"

Taken back by her rude voice, he let's it slide. "Where are you? We need to talk."

"I'm on a vacation. What do you want to see me about?"

"Vacation? Where? I'll come meet you."

"What do you want?" She asks him, her voice askance.

"It's about the company. It's my company okay? Mine. Why is it locked and why is everyone saying your name?"

"I guess you don't remember what you said yesterday. You told me to my face that you didn't beg me to do it for you, so why not take it back then? Maybe until you beg me for it then."

Richard chuckles, disbelieving everything he's hearing. "You've been planning this for a long time haven't you? Where are you now?!" He yells

"You can't come here even if you wanted to. Just forget the company and start over. You are a rich man aren't you? A man, so virile that he raised his hand to his wife every fucking morning. A man full of vitality that he slept with his secretary and showed no remorse to his wife."

"What are you trying to say?"

"Beg me profusely for the company."

Richard is sweating profusely, his car parked on the roadside while he's talking on the phone. Thinking of one last hope for himself, shameless, he starts "Don't forget we're still married until the divorce is finalized.x

"I don't think you've been to your bank today?"

"What do you mean by that?"

"I found out this morning, with the help of somebody that I don't need to go years fighting over property rights or alimony. All I needed to do was show them my burnt hand and bruised body and they awarded me all I needed. Darling, we are no more a thing."

Still clueless, "What are you saying?"

"So you were this dumb. I'm saying we're not married and it's been finalized."

"On what grounds? On whose orders?"

"You do know that there are bigger powers than you? I had one of them behind me and now... I'm going back home after three years. All because of a bastard like you, I blew off my family."

"Your poor family?" Richards starts and Snickers. "If you come back to me, I'll forgive you and give you a place in the company."

"We've been a couple for so many years, yet you know so little about me. Tell me, when's my birthday?"

Her question is met with silence.

"I thought so. You're not worth my time. Good day Mr Wright. We will certainly, certainly meet again."

"What do you mean by..."

She hangs up on him.

He shouts frustratedly and shoves his phone. "Her audacity...!"

His phone starts to vibrate from below him, he bends and picks it up, half hoping it's her, calling to apologize that it was all a prank.

He's quite disappointed.

It's his elder brother.

"Yes?" He picks it up, as rudely as he could muster.

"Grandpa wants you at home. Everyone is gathering here right now, you're the only one not here."

He grumbles. "I'll be there now."

Ashton hangs up the call.

Richard starts the car and drives in the direction of home.

Wright.

That's no name to be messed with in the whole country, having connections all to the way to the Presidency of the country...

Having the Wrights behind you means having everything with you.

Richard smiles.

Ivy Hall just messed with a Wright, Richard Wright and he vows with all his power to make his family back him up and he'll get his company and his revenge back.

What he doesn't know is that In about forty minutes...

Grandpa flings the glass cup across the hall and it shatters. "I knew you were a bastard from the first day I set my eyes on you!"
