I had never considered the Saturday baseball games Sara and Thomas shared as separation. I thought of them as my break. Mostly from Sara but also from the fake, sweet, piece of candy I have to be when I’m around Thomas. If Sara had rejected him like I begged her to then I could ease up on the sugar coating. But of course, Miss Perfect has to open her legs finally.

At least I can take this time to shift. My wolf craves Saturdays. I'm going to be sad when baseball season is over.

Thomas has strict rules about shifting. Especially for me since my wolf is lavender in color. Real Alphas are black, they may have a marking, but the main color is black. Most Beta’s are gray or deep brown. Some are blonde but few. Of course, the most blessed and exceptionally rare are white wolves. Polychromatic wolves were rare until of course my parents decided to repopulate the world. It’s a joke, but yeah there are more polychrome wolves now than at any point in known history.
