Chapter 14

Jean looked frivolous as if she was an actual slut. Despite that, her eyes were lustrous and incredibly beautiful.

The more she behaved this way, the more aroused Jason was.

“Can I jump the queue?” Jason asked.

She blew a ring of smoke at his face. The smoke dispersed upon hitting him and left behind the smell of nicotine.

“I am afraid not.”

She chuckled into Jason’s ears. “Hey, boy. If you want me, you have got to follow my rules.”

She knew that it was pointless to say anything else as they all would still see her as a shameless, mean woman who would do anything, anyway.

They looked down on her but coveted her body.

They thought they could trample on her dignity wantonly with the power in their hands.

But she would not waste her time to explain, as they were not worthy of her time.

She might as well tell them directly, ‘Yeah, I am the kind of woman you all are talking about. But you all will never get me.’

As for fame, she couldn’t care less about it. She was in her worst moment of her life now. Nothing else mattered.

Etan tightened his grip on the wineglass as he saw the untamed, unruly look in her eyes, like a rose in the wind, fragile yet unyielding.

He wanted to snap it, pull the thorns off her body and made her his possession.

The bumptious expression on Jason’s face faded. “Wait a minute! Don’t tell me you want to marry me.”

Jean burst into unimpressed laughter.

“Marrying you? Come on. You are not my cup of tea.”

“What do you want then?”

She lifted his chin with a finger. “I want to hear you call me Mom.”

Jason was stunned for a moment, and then he realized what she meant.

She did not want to marry him. Her target was his dad. She wanted to marry his dad and become his mom.

He got furious instantly, as she was clearly humiliating him.

He clamped her neck with his hand. “Don’t think too highly of yourself.”

The camping force on her neck was so great that she felt she was suffocating.

“Should I be grateful to you for leering at me?”

Out of humiliation, Jason flew into a rage. “What makes you think a woman like you may bargain? Believe it or not, I can make you disappear from show business?”

“Heck… you don’t have to… I have already done that myself.”

Anne felt it was time. “Jean didn’t mean it, Jason. Please let her go.”

But no one gave her a damn.

Jean struggled to breathe. “If you think you can buy my body with money, then you are sorely mistaken. It depends on whether I am happy with it or not.”

“I will sleep with you today. What can you do about me?”

It sparked a rumpus as everyone else yelled, eager to see Jason carrying out his threat.

Etan, who had been watching on the sideline all this while, suddenly said, “Knock it off, Jason.”

His voice was not low, but it could be heard clearly.

Jason had already pulled off Jean’s coat to expose her bare, white shoulders, where those marks from last night were still on her skin.

He gritted his teeth. “Leave me alone, bro. I swear I will tame her like an obedient cat tonight.”

“Jason!”

“Bro…”

Jason was arrogant and did things with impunity. Etan was the only one who could control him.

Etan’s eyes swept across Jean’s bare shoulders. “I don’t care what you do in private. But definitely not here,” he told Jason.

Jason gave Jean a dirty look and let go of her.

“I will make you climb onto my bed willingly someday.”
