~ Chapter 15 ~
OLIVER gulped down nervously, shaking under the intense gaze of Amanda. He glanced at the people in the room, looking for who will be the bait; the person that will break the news down to the boss, but everyone avoided eye contact with him.
"For the last time, what is going on?" Amanda asked a very harsh tone to her voice; clearly unimpressed and frustrated at her workers' attitude. She took a deep breath and focused her gaze solely on Oliver, instead of looking at them all at the same time "Mr. Romans, why did you call me?" She questioned.
The sweat on Oliver's forehead increased, his tie suddenly became too tight and he loosened it trying to catch his breath "well.. well.. Miss West, an.." he stuttered, trying to find the right words and the courage.
"Are you going to talk, or will you keep chewing on your words?" He jumped a bit, clearly startled by the evident and raw anger in his boss's voice.

Alice sat in her well-furnished living room; everything there screamed expensive!, From the curtains down to the flower vase that is positioned on the center of the table in the room.
