Before Carlos could grasp what was happening to him, a kick landed on his cheek. Carlos screamed in pain, possibly breaking his jaw. The others, who were dancing, began to notice the commotion and backed away, revealing Carlos struggling to get up.
"Dammit!" Carlos cursed, but his anger subsided when he could finally see who or what caused him pain. His attacker approached with a grim face, exuding a thick aura of menace.
"Wait! You…" Carlos tried to rise and received assistance, but it was rough as Ed grabbed his collar and choked him again.
Ed pulled him up from the ground so they could face each other. Carlos's confused expression quickly turned pale and trembling when he realized who the man standing before him was.
He had never met Ed, but he had heard rumors about the Rosas family's damaged heir due to an accident. And that face is clearly before him now.
