Today I will be addressing one of the cliches that have plagued the romance world for way too long. The bullying trope; where a boy bullies a girl because he has a crush on her (vice versa).

I don't understand why we assume that if a guy bullies you, it means that he has a crush on you.
It's such a terrible mindset because:
• It tells the girl that being in an abusive relationship is normal because surely he must like her. (Vice versa for guys)
• How can a bully be someone anyone would want to be around, much less date.
• It's simply a glorification and romanticization of abuse. (Ugh, yuck!) 🤮
So let's rise above this trope (♯▼皿▼)
