Jilly arrived at their meeting point. Cayne was already there, waiting for his angel of death. He was facing another way when she arrived and didn’t notice her at first, but he could hear her heels stepping on the cement ground. Her particular sound of heels was something that stuck in his head.
“It’s not about the money, is it?” He spoke, still looking away.
“There is no payment made in here.” Jilly replied, confirming his guess. She didn’t even bring anything but herself and the gun hiding underneath her top.
Slowly, he turned around and faced her. He doesn’t look good and was quite pale than the last time she saw him. He nodded his head to her in a way of telling her that whatever her decision was, he was ready.
“You shouldn’t have step up, Isaiah. You don’t know this field. I told you didn’t I?” Jilly asked him to try and remember what she said years ago. She had warned him from long ago.
Marcus let out a sighed harshly as he saw what was happening in front of him. He was right when he felt something was off about her just before she left. He couldn’t approach her as she was surrounded by a DEA. If he came out, he would as well surrendered himself to them.“Don’t tell your mother just yet.” Marcus told his son as his eyes kept looking at the scene.“You wanted to hide this from mother?” Marco’s voice raised at his father. Ha hated to be in this situation because he couldn’t help her. “Then, why would you send her to do this?” He asked in a loud voice. Marcus quickly turned around and glared at him.“Be quiet.” He sternly said to his son. He saw Marco already crying because he knew that Marco felt helpless, so does he. “Let’s leave, we couldn’t get caught.” Marcus grabbed his arm, but Marcus pushed his hand away
Kook took the first flight to Italy as soon as he hung up the phone with Mark, one of Marcus’ trusted men. He didn’t even bother to tell their parents of what happened to Jilly. He was too worried about her and did what came to his mind first. He came to the hospital Mark told him about. He informed Kook that there won’t be anybody waiting, because the DEA was on their tail. He realized then, that was the reason why they called him.“Who are you?” Kook asked the woman who stood not far from his sister’s room. He never saw the woman before, was she someone Jilly knew?“Who are you?” she asked back arrogantly. She was there first, so she was a little bit entitled to that.“I’m her brother,” Kook replied with a raised eyebrow.“Brother?” At first, she was confused. But, she recovered fast as she remembered
The investigation was not finished yet, so Kook couldn’t do anything. He needed to wait until the stupid investigation was done, that way he could bring her back home to the State. Kook also had to face Marco because his father asked him to permit him to see her.Kook told him to came in the evening, because then the DEA wouldn’t show up out of the blue. He was surprised when Greg suddenly visited Jilly. Nobody was telling him about what happened until Greg told him himself. Jilly was found shot in the chest at the suspected transaction site. So, they were investigating the gun which was close to her and literally next to her.Kook hadn’t had the time to checked on Cayne and his whereabouts. He was too worried about his sister to worry about someone else, not even his girlfriend.“Hello.” Marco’s voice brought him back, then he blinked his eyes a couple of times before looking up at hi

Kook went to the hospital by himself to checked on Jilly’s condition. He went since the morning. Cayne was begging Kook to let him came along secretly, but Kook was not going to risk what his sister had done.“How is she?” Kook asked the doctor who was responsible for taking care of Jilly. Today was the decision day about Jilly.“There’s no changes and improvement that she made. I’m sorry, but your sister is in a coma.” The doctor declared and Kook felt like his heart dropped freely. This was what he feared the most after meeting her and after he knew what she did for a living. “Excuse me,” he excused himself and left.Kook took a seat on the waiting chair and dropped his head on his hands. His first thought was to call their parents, so he did. He called his father and failed at the first attempt, so he tried again and failed again. He promised himself if he won&rsqu
Agent Greg had confirmed that Jilly’s case was just an accident. They dropped the Jilly case and the drugs case came to a dead end. Everyone was glad, especially Cayne. He immediately went to the hospital to visit Jilly as soon as Kook ended the call with him. So, the hospital was now crowded. The Jaelane and the Bakerhubb were both present along with Cayne and Leira. Her doctor entered the room and was surprised to see so many people in her room. He was going to check on her, but he couldn’t do it with too many people in the room.“Can I ask everyone to leave? I need the room cleared to check on her.” The doctor asked everyone. The one who understood easily left right away, but that was not the case with Cayne and Marco. They stubbornly didn’t move their legs to leave the room.“Don’t make me drag you out, Cayne, Marco.” Kook said to them sternly. He really did dragged the
“This kind of case was never successful. The baby won’t survive if the mother wouldn’t wake up soon.” The doctor who helped running the CT scan said to her doctor.“I know.” Her doctor agreed but he was worried about something. It’s the Jaelane he was facing and if he did something wrong just a little, his career would be over right at that second. “My head is spinning.”“Don’t be too hard, just hope that she will wake up soon.” The other doctor patted his back in a comforting way. He got his worries.“Come help me bring her back to her room, everyone is waiting.” Her doctor asked for help. They brought her back to her room and as he expected, every one of them was still there except for the other parents.&nbs
“What are you doing here?” Marcus was surprised to found Cayne stood in front of his office in one of his businesses in the State, close by where Jilly lived. The Jaelane moved to live in the State after Jilly was moved. So, Marcus worked flexibly and he would be where the business needed him to be.“You need to come to the hospital right now,” Cayne told him in urgency.“Why?” Marcus asked first. He didn’t want to panic out of nothing, he was always one to kept his composure.“Her parents came and found out about her being pregnant in this state. They demand an abortion.” Cayne explained briefly to him. Marco and Mariah had arrived at the hospital now and they tried to reach Marcus, but none of them couldn’t. So, Cayne voluntarily came to where Marcus was at the moment. Of course, it was after Mariah told him about her husband's whereabouts.
