Chapter Twelve (Part Two)

I stared too long at his face, noticing his scar, and then I came up with an idea.

"Let's play a game. Twenty questions. I ask you a question you have to answer, you must be truthful, and you ask me questions too.

He said, "Why do I feel like this has some deeper meaning to it than just a game?"

"We are out here; I think we should make the most of it."

"You start"

I started simple. "How old are you?"

"Twenty-five, next question."

"Do you have any siblings?"

"No, just me."

"Do you feel lonely?"

"Not really, but the thing is that werewolves don't breed much children like humans, something in our genre, I think."

"What about your parents?" I asked, and from the look on his face, that was a much harder question. I hadn't seen any of his parents, and I wondered if they were still alive."

"My mother was killed by rogues, and my father went out of his mind."
