Everything else seems to be going great in school except for the elephant in the room. All my other professors have been kind and very understanding and I’ve been studying hard to get my grades up, putting my feet down and giving it my all.

Between Chloe’s gloating over how she’s going to be the best student this year and be crowned Queen of VBU and the constant bullying from Professor August, Delia has been the light.

For the first time I know what it’s like to have a friend who doesn’t care about status or anything of that sort. I know I used to be that friend but I’m not anymore and I’ve never been more glad.

If anything positive came out of the tragedy that befell my family, it was bringing me down to earth and showing me how wealth, status and position in society can quickly vanish and only people who truly love you for who you are and not what you are, remain.
