~Aleksey’s Point of View~
Summertime, everyone wants to take vacations, no one wants to work. It always seems like the time of year I get stuck with a bunch of shit. Mother and Father were on vacation in the Caribbean with a bunch of family, celebrating Uncle Viktor’s retirement, so I was essentially in charge. It was weird, but it felt … right. I was confident I knew what I was doing.
When they get home, they will honor with me with a ceremony before formally taking Viktor’s place. I would be the youngest to hold such a title, and the heaviness of the responsibility was not lost on me. Maxim was likely to have a meltdown, if he even cared at all. I hadn’t seen him in months. He had an apartment somewhere in the city and he’d been staying at it.
I had the bles
~Aleksey’s Point of View~ “Happy birthday Aleksey, mой cын (my son),” Alexander said, smiling at me. “Cпасибо,(thank you),” I said, hugging him and accepting the card in his hand. “Don’t let Maxim see that huh,” he said, laughing. I gripped the card, easily guessing there were car keys in the envelope. “You shouldn’t have,” I said, giving him a wicked grin. “You deserve it! Just don’t get a bunch of tickets eh? It’s a fast one! Twenty-one, and you have the world by the balls. Look, I couldn’t be more proud. You came to me a scrawny little hungry kid, craving direction and opportunity. I hope you’ve gotten much more than that. A real family eh? A forever family
~Emilia’s Point of View~ “You and me could write a bad romance,” I said, singing and moving around my kitchen and swaying my hips. I finally got the nerve to talk to my neighbor yesterday and invited her over for dinner. I couldn’t have been more excited but I needed to play it cool once she got here. I couldn’t seem desperate. KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK I glanced at the clock, it was only 3:30. Huh. I skipped over to the door. “Hey Gia I thought you were coming at 6,” I said, opening the door expecting to see my neighbor. Instead there was a huge man, if you could call him that. He was a giant, with a black leather jacket in the middle of summer. I immedia
~Aleksey’s Point of View~ I looked down at the scribbled note in my hand. “3901 Fourth Street, Apt 4J.” My heart raced. Emila. My Emilia. I was so close. My eyes frantically looked for the right building until I saw it. I quickly pulled the car into a spot and parked. My palms were sweating, my wolf was restless. Felix hadn’t met her, but I thought about her so much I think he became just as attached. I leaned over the wheel, taking deep breaths. This didn’t happen to me. I didn’t lose control, I didn’t let someone have this power over me. But at the thought of her, the idea that I could soon touch her … it was almost too much. I had a sudden reminder surface that I had thought about late last night and I pulled out my phone quickly. “Yeah boss, are yo
~Emilia’s Point Of View~ “Oh! Ohh yes, yes! Ohh Austin,” I moaned, not giving a flying fuck who heard me. I had my Austin … my true fated mate. I always wanted to believe he was mine, that he would come for me. But after so long, I had to accept reality. My mind wanted to know how he found me, if he was involved with the situation with Natalie. But it didn’t matter, especially not once he was inside me. After I came I was completely breathless, it was so overwhelming. Our naked chests were pressed against each other and he held me so tight, claiming me. I’d never felt more desired, more sexy and more like I was exactly where I was supposed to be. Both of our eyes flickered here and there, our wolves wanting to participate. “Move back baby,
~Emilia’s Point of View~“Well are you,” I asked again, grabbing a pillow and clutching it to my chest. His eyes darted all over the place. Was he … mafia? Oh no. Ohh … no. My eyes flicked to his tattoos. I watched enough TV to know I was in deep shit.“If she were a male, yes,” he said, matter of fact.A sudden surge of anger flooded through me, but not at my mate. Natalie had to know this would happen, you don’t just fuck over people for that kind of money and expect them to let it go. Then, a light bulb went off in my head.“Where the hell is Maxim, why isn’t he paying her debt? If he’s your brother then he’s got money right? Access to
~Aleksey’s Point of View~ I got home and couldn’t find father anywhere. The kitchen staff said he’d been in for breakfast but that had been half an hour ago. It was just before six a.m., he couldn’t have gone too far. I grabbed a cup of coffee and stared out the kitchen window, finally spotting him off in the distance. He was walking toward our pond on the far end of the property. He may have liked a little morning stroll sometimes but I was exhausted and dreaded walking that far. I finished my coffee and hopped on a golf cart that mother often used to get around. Just as I got to the bench he was sitting on, I saw him throwing food to the ducks. “Since when do you feed the wildlife,” I said, sitting next to him. “I love all creatures
~Emilia’s Point of View~ Hmmm, I felt so warm and safe. I never wanted to open my eyes but I was curious to see what was around me. Strong arms, kind of a peppery smell. Hmmm. *Mate! Mate is here,* Selena said, stirring awake. My eyes flew open, desperate to see him. In front of me was a heavily tattooed arm, covered in tribal swirls and designs. I felt him purring, then a big warm hand moved to stroke my hair. “Hey,” I said, which came out pretty weak and barely audible. He shifted, his face now inches from mine. “I’m so sorry, I’m so-” I cut him off, claiming his lips. I held his cheeks a
~Aleksey’s Point of View~ Once I was able to get Emilia properly dressed with undergarments and all, I finally agreed to let her see Ronald. But I would not let her near the actual dungeon. I didn’t even want her to know about it for the time being, or if ever. I had Mickey set up a small holding room with nothing but a table and a few chairs. Emilia insisted she see him alone and at first I flat out refused. But somehow, she wore me down. There was a small closet in the holding room and I sat on a stool inside of it, barely fitting in the space. The door was open just slightly, so I had a good view. Mickey stood just outside the door. Ronald, was cuffed to a chain in the floor so he had very little mobility and he wasn’t a shifter so he wouldn’t smell that I was in the room.
