Chapter 11

Kathrine’s Point of View

Kathrine and Dylan sat side by side in the backseat of the cab, they sat close to each other. But their minds were filled with their own thoughts. The city lights flickered through the window, moving through the busy streets, on their way to Kathrine’s apartment.

The weight of the day laid heavy on Kathrine’s shoulders. She leaned her head against Dylan’s shoulder, seeking a resting place. A soft sigh escaped Kathrine’s lips.

“This day was just too long, to describe,” Kathrine said with a soft tone.

“You can say that again. But hey look on the bright side, you’re not going to be homeless.” Dylan said with a smile.

“Yeah, that is correct. I was worried that he was only doing that to get me to sleep with him. But I see I might have judged him too soon.” Kathrine replied, then sat up straight.

“By the way, how are you holding up? Are you feeling a bit better?” Dylan asked with concern.

“Actually, I am. Thank you, I needed this. I needed to get out and live my lif
