2. Your Mate

I, Thalita, and this man were taken to the foundation's headroom to be asked about the problems that occurred in the cafeteria. I explained everything, this man bowed down not daring to answer. I suspect he is the son of the owner of the foundation or the head of the foundation we are dealing with now.

"Apologize to these two girls, or you will never graduate with good honors," said the head of the foundation intimidatingly.

This man obeyed and did as he was told. After that, we were both told to leave the room. "Please eat and drink in peace in the cafeteria. Just complain if there is a bully like him. We, the foundation, do not hesitate to expel people who act arrogantly."

"Thank you, sir, excuse me," I said and left the room.

"You want to go to the cafeteria again?" I asked. Thalita shook her head, she was embarrassed she said. Her clothes were stained with tomato sauce and her chest hurt from the hard jolt.

"You want to go home, we're allowed to go home together. Maybe you need an X-ray, so I can make sure you're okay."

"No Esme, let's just go to class now, I don't want to miss a class because the tuition is expensive," she said, clasping her hand around my arm.

We talked down the hall to enter the classroom. My eyes were surprised again, why is that guy now in my class?

"Isn't it wrong, we are in this class?" I asked whispering in Thalita's ear.

"No, that's all of our friends, just a few different ones, oh my God, Esme, he's in our class," Thalita whispered right in my ear. I no longer pay attention to the man. A little bit surprised by the attitude that always looks at me sharply. What's wrong with him? I never even met him.

We sat a bit away from him but he came over to us and was friendly with Thalita. I think he's just making faces. Earlier he didn't even glance at Thalita but now he's being friendly instead.

"Are you okay, you should go to the doctor now?"

"Ah, it's okay, it's a little pain in the chest, but I'm still able to follow the lesson," explained Thalita.

I wish he wasn't talking to me right now, because I'm sick of dealing with a man who is a hypocrite and has other intentions.

"Oh, yes, I invited your friends to go to my party tonight, you also have to come so that it will be more crowded and you can get lots of friends, how about that?" he said like a bargain. Thalita looked at me and I shook my head in disapproval, I hope she wasn't affected.

"Um, may sound exciting, just give me the address."

Oh shit, I'm dead!

"I already thought you weren't like your arrogant friend. You're a good girl Thalita, I like you, see you later dear, we will serve you well," she said sweetly.

My eyes glanced at him and he also looked at me sarcastically. This son of a bitch is sure to prank us, newbies. Are all my friends invited to the party?

"Why did you accept the invitation," I asked whispering in Thalita's ear.

"So that we have lots of friends, we are new kids and they are people who influence Esme, we will be safe if we become friends," said my friend innocently.

She was too mesmerized by the man's fake gentle demeanor who was now still staring at me from his seat.

"What party honey?" asked my mother when I asked about what clothes I should wear.

"I don't know, he said it was just a party so, should I wear a dress or regular trousers or casual shorts?" I asked to get input from my mom.

My father passed away when I was 5 years old and only my mother is my current family. My mother was kicked out of her family for marrying my father. I never know what causes it.

My mom says when I'm 19 I'll be ready to know what I don't know. It's too long-winded if I have to wait for that age, until now I'm not in the mood to know, and stop whining to know.

"Dresses are better than shorts. What invites you a man?"

"He invited Thalita and I think we will be the stakes to be played" I said.

My mother looked worried and forbade me to go, but I insisted because Thalita was very interested in visiting the party. Without me, who will help her.

"Esme, have you felt anything strange during this time, I mean, has your body gotten stronger or something?" She asked suddenly, strangely. I shook my head, nothing happened physically, everything is normal and I'm fine.

"Didn't anything odd happen?" she asked again, do I need to tell you about the dream?

"Dream, maybe a bit odd, because it's repetitive, a little creepy," I said. My mother sat facing me, her eyes exploring me completely. Her cold hand held mine.

"Tell me, what was that dream?" She asked. The look on her face was worried. I started to explain 5 times the dream that comes in my sleep every month. Dreams are recurring and exactly like watching a movie where the scenes in it are predictable.

"He already knows you, he must be around you, Esme."

"Who recognizes me?"

"Your mate, be ready."
