The Next Week,

The alarm rang by 6a.m. Arianna was on her bed reluctant to stand up. She leaned over the bed and switched off her phone. Huh, she was really tired and didn't want to leave the house.

The alarm rang after thirty minutes, and she groaned loudly. She thought she switched off the alarm.

On cue, someone knocked on her door.

" Hey, baby. You have school today." Hee mother called from outside.

" Arggh." She screamed into the pillow. All she wanted to do was rest. She ignored her mother's voice.

The knocking stopped and she decided to sleep a little more. School began at 8a.m. She could do all the necessary things in thirty minutes and run to school or better still take a car.

As soon as her head hit the bed, the knocking became louder and persistent.

" Wake up. It's past 7." Her mother called.

She woke up with a start. She could swear that she hadn't closed her eyes for a minute and now this was happening.

" I am up." She said, and was about to lay her head down on the pillow
