Drama before the ceremony!

Bonita's POV

I have never acted this brave in my life. I had the guts to confront my ex-mate. Usually, I would have ignored him and never talked back to him. Perhaps it was because I was in love with him. I do not know. Now that our bond is gone, I see how about a coward Oscar is. I always thought he was brave and fierce, and he would take on his uncle if he had the chance. He was even too afraid to attack me at my full power. He is supposed to be an Alpha. Before I became his Luna, I was only an omega in the pack. I do not understand why he is afraid of me. Am I stronger than him? Is he fearful of my unique wolf?

They never wanted me to fight or train because they knew I would become stronger than the Alpha if I trained my wolf. I know now for a fact that the Alpha and the members of the Black Raven Pack are afraid of me. I smile as I look at them run away. The Black Raven Pack's warriors are cowards, except for my only friend, Morris. Your pack is only as strong as its Alpha.

"I will come back, and I will get my mate. I am sure she will be disgusted after she slept with you one night. You are old, uncle. I am still young. Bonita, you will come crawling back to me," Oscar shouts.

"Don't even answer him. He's not worth it. Let's go back to the packhouse," Victor says.

"You are right. Oscar is nothing but a coward. He can shout from his grounds as he does not want to face you. How will he get me back? Let's go. We have a long night ahead of us," I say. I want to get the Luna ceremony done and over with. Perhaps Camilla is Oscar's second-chance mate. Possibly, when I move on and Blitz, Oscar's wolf, realizes that I am no longer their mate, he will look at Camilla and know she is his new mate. I hope so because I want Oscar and his wolf to forget about me. We turn around and run into the bushes towards the packhouse. I follow Victor as I do not know where the packhouse is. I never left our territory when I was part of The Black Raven Pack.

As we reach the packhouse, Victor orders everybody to prepare for the Luna ceremony. Everybody is excited, but Victor tells his warriors not to say anything about his mate yet. The Warriors know not to upset their Alpha, whom every wolf pack's warriors greatly respect. I can see that the Shadow Stalkers have great respect for their Alpha. I have heard that Victor is one of the world's best and most potent alphas. Everybody respects him as he always keeps his word and will not attack anybody unless provoked. Nobody wants to mess with Victor. He was known for not having a mate. I wonder what they will think when they know his mate is so young. I will have to learn how to act like a lady because I know Victor is very famous and that many packs and other alphas visit him, and he likes entertaining them. I do not want to be a burden for Victor. I want to be somebody he can be proud of.

"Victor, honey, did you change your mind? I knew you would come to your senses. It is time for us to seal our mate bond," A she-wolf says. She has been trained as a warrior but is not a warrior. I guess she was my mate's lover. Shadow, my wolf, growls softly. She does not like this she-wolf calling her mate honey.

"Oh, Sandy, don't you ever learn your lesson? Why do you think everything happening in this pack is always about you? You see, Sandy, I already told you that I don't want you as my lover anymore and do not want you as my Luna. I finally met my mate. I'm sorry to tell you, but it is not you. You see, Sandy, our deal is off. I want to introduce you to Bonita, my mate," Victor says. Sandy looks past me to see if anybody is standing behind me. She seems confused as Victor takes my hand and walks with me into the packhouse.

"You mean to tell me this little girl is your mate? Have you gone bonkers? She can be your daughter. I can't take you seriously. Hilarious, Victor. I've had enough of your jokes today. Where is the Luna Dress that I can put it on? And I can become the Luna of this pack. I do not believe you when you tell me you have fallen in love with a little girl who can be your daughter!" Sandy says.

"Well, unfortunately for you, she is not my daughter. I can choose whoever I want for a mate," Victor says.

"She cannot be your mate. She is too young for you. And you have kept me on the line for a long time. I will not give you up, Victor!" Sandy shouts.

"I am sorry to disappoint you, Grandma, but I am his mate. I am becoming your Luna tonight. It would be in your best interest if you showed some respect for my mate and me. What is your rank in this pack?" I ask her.

"She has no rank. She is nothing but an omega," Victor says.

"Who are you calling a grandma? And you? How can you call me an omega? I am the future of Luna of this pack, and I won't let the little girl take my place. Besides, I'm much stronger than her!" Sandy shouts again. I am starting to think she is a grandma, and I must talk hard because she cannot hear properly.

"We can hear, Grandma. You don't have to talk that hard. You should have looked for your mates a long time ago. I think you are too old to find one now," I say. Sandy storms at me and wants to hit me, but I am fast. I grab her arm and slap her hard with my other hand. She falls to the ground and looks at me in surprise. Victor looks at me, amused.

"So my little mate has some backbone and is not a weak, pathetic wolf as I thought," Victor says, sounding proud of me.

"Take me to my room to prepare for the ceremony," I say. We walk into the packhouse to a room where a beautiful dress is lying on the bed.
