CHAPTER 9 Jealousy

  Rory's POV

Slamming my fist into the wall, the pain stung my flesh, and my knuckles ached from the pressure. I felt the anger surge through me. After being delivered the news that my baby girl, Elsie had left the Autumn Pack, only to join my biggest rivals, I had wanted nothing more than to cause harm to my enemy. Moreso than usual.

What a slap in the face this was, everything I had done for that little bitch, and this is how she repays me?

I had raised Elsie, given her a roof over her head, and she never needed to ask for anything. She was well cared for. Elsie even had the privilege of taking my dick when I needed the relief, yet the selfish little brat still turned against me.

Resting my palms onto my desk, I felt the anger grow wilder inside me. My wolf, Evander, began to stir within me. Closing my eyes tightly, I saw the vision of my wolf inside my mind.

His grey fur, streaked with black shook as he awoke, and his yellow eyes shone brightly. The scar across his left eye matched my own. We had both gained identical battle scars many years ago.

'I told you the brat would cause us trouble one day Rory,' Evander spoke to me, his voice gravelly and firm 'You refused to heed my warning,'

'What kind of shit could that little bitch do? How was I meant to know she would grow a pair of balls,' I replied, my own voice husky as I spoke 'Elsie was once so obedient and easily moulded,'

Evander chuckled 'People change, and not always for the better,'

I dug my fingertips into the surface of the desk 'Leave me be Evander,' I ordered 'I need to think this through,'

'Very well,' the wolf replied 'But let this be a lesson,'

Blocking the wolf out, he disappeared from my mind. I was in no mood for his - told you so - snarky remarks at the moment.

I should have known from the very beginning, when Elsie began to show interest in warrior training, that she would develop her independence. I shouldn't have allowed her to explore her warrior side.

Elsie should have been told her place from the start. She was there purely for my reasons, to use whenever I wished. Be obedient and take me as I pleased. And one day I would fill her with my seed so she could birth my future heirs.

"Stupid brat," I grunted under my breath "Everything I've done for her,"

I imagined what she would be doing in the Summer Pack. Had that creep Theo Warren seduced her? Would he take her away from me and make Elsie his own woman? And what of his pathetic brothers? What could they provide Elsie that I couldn't?

This strange sensation began to fill me, it wasn't an emotion I often felt, if very rarely.

  Jealousy.

I had become jealous that another Alpha was possibly laying his hands on my Elsie, my baby girl.

I set myself upright and began to pace the room, my eyes on the ground as I watched my feet move. Thoughts of these men with their filthy hands on Elsie. Did she pleasure them like she pleasured me? Were these disgusting Alpha creeps getting the best of my girl?

I stopped in my tracks and began to make an attempt to create a mind link with Elsie. If she was still mine I would receive her thoughts and emotions instantly.

Concentrating, I tried to link our minds. But it was met with a blank. Nothingness, just an empty space where I would usually find Elsie's thoughts and feelings.

"Fuck," I husked, making one more attempt. But it was still met with failure "That little traitorous bitch,"

'How embarrassing for you,' Evander spoke as he appeared in my mind again, but this time I didn't reject his communication 'It appears you've been ghosted by your baby girl,' he chuckled.

'That seems to be the case' I replied 'Elsie has defied me by developing her own mind and independence,'

'Free thinking,' Evander added 'Dangerous for a woman with such potential,'

Evander was right, I knew how physically strong Elsie had become over her years in training, and I couldn't accept her decision to leave. What would the Summer Pack do to shape and mould my Elsie now? Promises of the life she always wanted? Away from me no doubt.

'You know what you have to do, dear Rory,' Evander spoke.

I knew. I definitely knew what move I had to make next. I had to retrieve Elsie myself, take her away from the Summer Pack and bring her home. Make the brat realise her place in life was to serve me. And when I had brought her back as my baby girl, I would ensure I would make her my breeding project instantly. Impregnate her before she had another chance to escape me.

A smile formed on my lips 'What an idea,' I said to Evander 'She'll come back to my easily, just you wait,'

Evander chuckled once more 'And when she's here, she won't be able to escape. Lock her up, impregnate her,' he paused.

'And when she's birthed our first child,' I continued the idea 'I will knock her up straight away so she simply can't escape. My beautiful little breeding machine,'

'Your mind works in wonderful ways Rory,' Evander complimented 'Now, we plan our next move,'

I nodded in agreement with Evander's words, I must wait until the time is right to retrieve Elsie. It had to be the perfect moment, I would wait until she thinks she is safe from me. Give her time to think I had forgotten about her and move on, but the bitch will pay.

The jealousy began to subside as I imagined how I would feel when I had my baby girl back in the pack house, back in bed where she belongs. I know I felt no love toward Elsie, not truly.

But she was mine, my possession to keep for as long as I wanted. Elsie was my property, and I wanted her back.
