Chapter 15 – Dying Heart
Diana sat on his lap and she kissed Albert fiercely on the lips. I heard him moan as he kissed back. He held her closer. When he opened his eyes, his eyes locked mine and I heard his scornful laugh.
I opened my eyes.
What a nightmare! I massaged my forehead and then looked around. I groaned as I remembered what happened.
It was the familiar scent and the white cubicle curtain which made me realize where I was at the moment. I was in an emergency room of a hospital. I closed my eyes again.
I was hoping I was brought to the hospital because of the accident at the construction site. The last three days traveling back in time drained me and put my heart in great misery.
When the curtain opened, I closed my eyes and pretended to be asleep.
"Oh, sweetheart," I heard mom's worried voice. She kissed me on my forehead and held my hand. "What happened?" she asked anxiously.
