"Let go of her before I lose my mind." He thundered dangerously, and the two guards who yanked my hands swiftly pulled their hands off me in fright.

"No. This can’t be. She is a cheap slut who was caught in the woods lying hopelessly after she slept with a stranger who is not her mate. She deserves no mercy and should be punished severely for the crime she committed!" Catherine screamed frantically while shutting her eyes at me, but my thoughts were far from paying attention to her.

"What is he doing here?" I have to do something. I can’t let him kill me the same way he killed my parents. I muttered under my breath while pacing around the palace, thinking of how to escape the sudden death that fell in front of me.

"Not another word from you, miss, or I'll rip off your throat!" King Avalour groaned at Catherine while holding her neck to the point where she began to choke and winced aloud.

My heart began to skip more beats while I kept thinking of how to escape, why is he here? and why is he protecting me.

"Why did he say I was coming with him?" Goddess, please save me this last time. I muttered under my breath and let out a loud breath I didn’t know I had held for a while.

"I want everyone out of this throne room immediately!" Alpha Russell’s voice echoed, and it fell on my eye, leaving me more frightened and confused.

Prince Lucas stood up from the royal seat to leave, but surprisingly, Alpha Russell, his father, commanded him to stay back while everyone left.

My entire body began to quiver, obviously, and my lips wouldn’t stop trembling.

"I am going with the young woman, and no one is stopping me, Russell!" Avalor said this while placing his hands in his pocket. His eyes fell on mine, but I quickly realized he was here to murder me, and the death of my parents flashed one more time on my face.

"No way would I allow you to go with her. Yes, I rejected the filthy slot to be my mate, but she is still my mate. Prince Lucas of the Blood Moon Pack rejected Hilda as my mate, but she would remain in the palace as a common worker, and of course she could be used as my sex slave!" Lucas objected and became more enraged.

"Quiet young man! She is not your mate, for I have marked her. She belongs to me now and must come with me." Avalor declared the second time, and this time around, his eyes turned red and his fangs became obvious.

I almost screamed out, letting him know I would never follow him. I kept fighting the urge to shout, I reject you, more so as the babies in my womb wouldn’t let me, so I remained silent while his eyes kept mesmerizing me.

"No father! Hilda is my mate, and she is not going anywhere. He may have marked her, but she is my destined mate. I would rather have her here remain my sex slave than to go with him." He groaned, but his father looked away.

Avalor pulled out the sword in his thigh that no one had seen while he pulled his masculine chest against Lucas. He kept the sword on his neck while he threatened to chop off his head if he continued.

"Stop, stop!" Russell shrieked while clenching his fist.

"Hilda Storm, today you are no longer a worker in my palace!" He harrumphed before he continued.

My heart started to race fast. There is no way I am going with the murderer who killed my parents. Not when I think I am pregnant with his pups. I have to take drastic measures immediately, but how? I let out a loud breath, not paying attention to what they were saying again.

"Hilda storm. You are worthless and not useful anymore in this palace; therefore, you must go with your mate Avalor, the lycan king of the Blood Moon Pack, and that is final!" He declared while standing up, and a quick smile fell on Avalor’s face while Lucas walked away with his face filled with defeat.

"Let it be clear to you that you must not leave the palace with any of your belongings. Not even a piece of your cloth!" He growled, his face laced with hatred and disdain. My body gave an involuntary shudder at his words.

My parents died two years ago, and since then I have been a worker for the Blood Moon Pack. I don’t think I have wronged anyone except for the fact that I am wolf-less, which has caused everyone to look down on me, insult me, and treat me like a filthy rag, as they called me.

"You heard Russell Hilda! Come with me," Avalor commanded as his eyes raked me from top to bottom as he licked his lips. Fear and panic rose in my heart at his words.

"Please, my Alpha, permit me to go in and take a picture of my parents, and I promise I will not be long," I pleaded while my eyes caught their eyes signaling each other, a sign to grant me permission.

"It worked, Hilda," I said to myself as I walked down the hallway to my room with my heart panting. I kept thinking about what to do and how to escape from this place.

A few minutes after I got into my chambers, I went close to the window while I peeked to see if there were guards around. Unfortunately, my gaze fell on two guards, and it then dawned on me that there was no way for me to escape since the entire house was surrounded.

I snapped my wrist watch, and it was 30 minutes gone already. I certainly know they would probably be worried about why I was taking so much time. At this point, I was running out of time, and as I walked from end to end in my room, my head spun. I sat on my bed and began to nauseate. It became so severe that I rushed to the bathroom and began to throw up.

"Oh no, you are really pregnant, Hilda". I told myself as I looked in the mirror. I turned around and saw a glass flower vase without wasting more time. I smashed it on the wall tiles, and I packed a lot of its pieces back into the room. I peered through the window again, and fortunately, I didn’t see any guards around. I smashed my hands on the broken glases.

"Awwww!" I winced inward.

I began to bleed. I inched to the bed and made sure a lot of blood was spilled all over the bed and pillows. It was really hurting a lot, but I ignored the pain. I smeared more blood on the broken glasses, making sure a lot of blood was seen all over my room. and the floor slicked with my blood. I tore my gown and tried to tie my hand with it to at least control the bleeding, but it failed. I let out a big sigh and ignored it.

Peeking through the windows, I felt it was the right time to jump over. Even though it was very difficult and with lots of blood dripping out of my hands. but I just didn’t pay attention. I jumped out of the window and ran out through the back gate without looking back to see if I was followed or not.
