HAILEY’S POV

All through the drive to Alpha Zac’s pack. He was quiet and looking out the window while I occasionally glanced at him. I knew he was in rage even as he had demanded I should be given to him as a peace treaty. I knew he didn't want me but still decided to take me alongside him because he didn't want me to get away with seducing a powerful alpha of a pack like him- I was supposed to pay for what I had done.

I tried controlling my emotions not to feel sad but I couldn’t. I kept on sobbing uncontrollably. My nightmare of marrying someone I wasn’t in love with was playing out and I couldn’t do anything about it.

How could Alisha do this to me? How could she after all the sacrifices I had been making for her? How could she? I kept on thinking as the tears kept flowing uncontrollably.

No, I cannot end up this way. I have to find a way, I have to leave even if I don't go back to my pack, I have to go to another place. I couldn’t bear being with Alpha Zac when I knew he didn’t love me and he was my pack’s enemy. It would only be torture to both of us.

“We are here,” Alpha Zac said. The car door opened and he got out of the car. I put myself together and came down to meet him but didn’t meet him standing by. He was walking away, leaving me behind.

What was I expecting? Some grand welcome and tour of his villa?

Some maids walked up to me and bowed slightly. The oldest among them coldly said to me,

“Follow me,” and started walking away. I had to rush after her as she refused to slow down to match my pace.

I was led into a very beautiful mansion and I couldn’t deny that the mansion was more magnificent than the home where I grew up.

I was led into a large room, it was a very beautiful one and the maid walked out immediately I went in.

“Lunch will be served in two hours, until then, you will stay in this room which is your room,” she said coldly.

“Can I talk to Alpha Zac…” the door came close before I finished and I felt chills.

Was everyone in this place this cold? Alpha Zac, who had managed to act warmly the first time my father introduced me to him, also suddenly became cold, especially after the incident. What was happening? Where have I come to? What has Alisha done to me? I panicked.

“Is she inside? Where is the bitch that dared seduce my man?” I heard a female voice yelling as there was a little chaos outside.

As I stood up to walk out of the room door to check what the chaos was all about, my door was pushed open and an angry-looking blondie in an expensive dress stormed in.

“You are the slut?” she yelled and slapped me hard across my cheek which made a tear slide down my face.

“You cannot slap me,” I said in anger and wanted to return the slap but one of the maids came to stand between us. The cold stare she gave me made me put myself together.

“I cannot slap you?” the blondie asked and burst into a cold laughter as she rolled her eyes.

“Did you know what you have done? Did you know that I am supposed to get married to Zac but since you seduced him and the news has reached the pack, they are asking him to marry you instead of me,” she yelled in rage, and immediately I became so quiet, as I started feeling bad for the blondie. I couldn't blame her for reacting that way.

“Please, it was all a misunderstanding. I also don't want to marry Alpha Zac, I_”

“Then what was your intention when you seduced him? What did you think would happen?” she yelled in rage and pushed a table down making everything on it crash.

“Matilda can you stop,” it was Alpha Zac. He grabbed the blondie as he walked inside the room.

“No, I cannot. She ruined us. She has destroyed all our plans and everything we had to endure together to get married. She deserves to pay for it, she deserves to disappear,” the blondie yelled as she tried attacking me again.

There were tears flowing down her face and I felt so bad for her that I slumped to the floor and started crying.

It was all Alisha’s fault. She had made me a bad person who had come in between two

Lovers.

“I’m sorry, please,” I begged as I tried to get close to the blondie but the dangerous glare I got from Alpha Zac made me stop in my tracks.

“Don't you dare try to sympathize with her? You caused everything. You are nothing but just a pretty face.”

“I promise you that you are going to regret this. You are going to regret that you ended up in bed with me on the first day we met,” Alpha Zac spat with a cold glare as he led her away.

I slumped on the ground as I felt chills, my heart racing in chaos. “What has Alisha done to me?” I thought as goosebumps filled my skin.

How am I going to survive in this place? What should I do?

I was confused as I thought hard. The last words of Alpha Zac were like a warning to me and I was sure he meant it.

What about the blondie, he had called Matilda, she looked so bloodthirsty, I wasn't sure she was going to make life easy for me. I wish I could wake up to realize all that was happening was a nightmare, I wished it was because my life was about taking a very drastic turn which I feared was going to ruin me.

“No Dad. You made a mistake to send me here. Alisha, you have ruined my life. No, I cannot stay here. No! No!! No!! I yelled as I rushed to the door and tried to open it but it was locked.

“No,” I yelled as I started hitting the door.

“Someone help me, I wanna leave this place, I wanna go back home! Some help me,” I started screaming as I banged the door with all my might.

I didn't stop until I heard the door handle turn and I stepped back, shivering like I was going to be killed anytime soon because I couldn’t breathe properly while knowing the mess I was in.

As the door opened and someone walked in, I rushed towards the person without hesitation, asking to be helped but instead, a cloth was put over my face and I passed out.
