CHAPTER 17: GETTING ALONG

Aurora’s POV

“I can’t believe you really agreed to stay at our house. Were you even able to sleep properly last night? We only have one bed since dad usually wants to sleep on the floor with a futon.” I said as Timothy and I were heading to the market to buy some ingredients for our lunch. He really took off a vacation just so he could continue molding a pot.

Timothy just shrugged. “Well, I wasn’t able to sleep immediately, but I find it more peaceful here to be honest.It’s like a small city far from the noisy streets of New York.”

“You’re right. That is also one of the reasons why I always spend my days at my dad’s home whenever I can.”

“You and your dad surely get along well, don’t you?”

I nodded as I smiled. “”Yup. Ever since I was a kid, dad was the one who takes care of me. He’s the one who attends errands at school and prepares breakfast for me. He is the best dad a daughter could ever ask for.”

“I can see that. I can see that your father is a good man.”

“He is.”
