Chapter 8 – Only my son's mother can hold the title of my wife

On his way to the office, Garvin decided to call Luna and ask her to arrange a meeting with Cooper's babysitter.

He realized it was about time to meet the woman his son and Luna were absolutely infatuated with, solely for the sake of finding some peace of mind.

"Luna, please set up a meeting with Cooper's babysitter," Garvin requested over the phone.

Luna, filled with excitement, responded,

"Finally, Garvin! You've agreed to meet Iris. I'm certain you'll love her."

Garvin, annoyed by Luna's assumption, quickly clarified,

"I'm only doing this for Cooper's sake."

"It doesn't matter. Once you meet Iris, you'll see how amazing she is," Luna insisted.

Before Luna could continue, Garvin abruptly ended the call. Despite his irritation, he couldn't stay mad at Luna, who had always been like a mother to him.

Garvin prided himself on treating women as men, never succumbing to their charms. He believed that meeting Cooper's babysitter would not change his perspective on this matter.

Iris is very smart. Being Cooper's "baby-sitter" for his entire life, she would have had the opportunity to breastfeed and bond with him his entire life. She had the opportunity to raise him to be the boy that she wanted him to be. She was hiding in plain sight. Too bad Gavin never wanted to meet.

It is hard to believe that the detective couldn't find Iris over 5 years of searching, especially as she has been Cooper's "baby-sitter" for his entire life. Did she change how she looked? They keep talking about a woman with blonde hair. He should be fired pronto.
