We spent the next three hours in and out of stores. After which we went to Simon’s for lunch. After being seated in a private section at the back, the waiter took our drink order and walked away. We talked about when we were supposed to get our hair and makeup done for the wedding tomorrow, and I felt a pang of guilt. Sage smiled at me, a reassuring smile, but that did little to ease it.
