Chapter 12

Hindi mawala ang kirot sa puso dahil sa nalaman. I don't want to leave someone important to me. I don't want them to feel the pain I've felt before. Ayaw kong maging dahilan ng pagkalungkot nila kasi alam ko sa sarili ko kung paanong parang pinapatay ako ng lungkot na 'yon.

I whisper 'please' repeatedly. Venrick is caressing my back with his other hand while whispering something I can't fully understand.

"I don't want to leave." With that I look at my dad straight from the eyes. Punong-puno ng determinasyon.

They've been good to me these past few weeks and I'm happy for that. But, leaving my friends would be different. It'll hunt me so much for I know how they will feel when I leave.

I close my eyes for awhile and stand. "Please understand mom, dad. You know how weak I am when It comes to that matter." I wiped my tears away as I look down.
