Ever since Elodie and I shared our first kiss, things got awkward between us, and for some reason, I couldn’t just help but be filled with guilt, at the same time, my mind lingered on everything that happened between us.

Squeezing my eyes shut in a bid to do away with the memories that flooded my mind.

No matter how much I tried to do away with the memories, my mind still churned with a whirlwind of thoughts, desperately seeking the perfect explanation for what transpired between us.

First of all, we weren’t mates. If we weren’t mates, then why was I attracted to her?
