Kathryn POV
I don't know how but Dave's boss just snuck up behind us. It gave us a big surprise and we shook as we heard his voice.
"Well? Do I look like the kind of man to mess around with. You only have the job of being an errand boy and that's it. Now what are you doing with this girl?" Mr Adams asked.
I turned to Dave and it was obvious he didn't have anything to say.
"I'm sorry sir. It's just that he was looking so sad and I thought I might just try and cheer him up." I explained.
"And who gave you the right to do that? Are you one of my employees?" He asked rhetorically.
I answered him anyway.
"I'm not sir, but I don't think it would be right if I know I could help someone but didn't do so." I said confidently.
"Wow! You are such a talker. Do you know that? I don't even know who you are." He said, in a mood that said, I'm not impressed.
