Chapter 10 A Docile Mastiff

Nox stood at the doorway, smiling at the mastiff. The world claimed it was the strongest dog in the world when it came to aggression.

The mastiff growled, glaring at Nox darkly. It would pounce on him at any moment, but Nox was unfazed. He narrowed his eyes, and an invisible aura burst forth from his body.

This caused the room to shake, and then the big dog started shivering. It slowly backed off as if it was terrified.

"Don't be scared, little guy. I won't hurt you." Nox approached the terrified mastiff with a smile.

The mastiff quickly went down on all fours, shivering. It couldn't even hold its head up. Nox patted its head. "Let's go for a stroll."

Just like that, a man and his dog walked out of the room.

Queenie came out of her shower wearing a pink tracksuit. She thought Nox would still be around, but he was nowhere to be found. "Where did he go? Oh God, don't tell me he's run off."

Nox lost his memories, and he had just come to this place. Queenie darted out of the house to look for him, but then she saw something that made her speechless. Her mastiff was lying under Nox's feet like a little lamb, and to think she took more than six months to tame it.

Nox was inside the public pavilion, basking in the sun.

Queenie cursed in her mind. She couldn't believe her eyes. Her fierce beast was lying by Nox like a lamb.

'What is going on?' Queenie thought.

She rushed over to the pavilion and roared, "Nox Greenshade!"

Nox turned around and smiled at Queenie.

"I told you not to run around, you amnesiac. What if you went missing?" Queenie lectured.

Nox felt warm inside, knowing Queenie cared about him.

"And why did you bring Blackshark around? He's a mastiff. He's very aggressive. What if he bites you?" Queenie continued shouting.

He rubbed his nose. "Don't worry. He won't bite me. He doesn't have the guts."

Queenie was speechless. "What? Blackshark doesn't have the guts to… Are you mad? He's a purebred mastiff. He can even fight a lion, and you claim he's scared of you?" She pouted.

Nox smiled dryly. "Yes, he is. Watch." Nox smacked Blackshark's head.

Blackshark remained on the ground, shivering. He wouldn't even move or make a sound. Queenie thought she was hallucinating when she saw this. "Blackshark? Blackshark?" she called out to her dog.

The poor mastiff raised his head to stare at his master, but he had no courage to approach her. Queenie was speechless. "What did you do to Blackshark, you bastard? What happened to him?" Queenie screamed.

Nox felt a little aggrieved. "I didn't do anything to him. I just brought him out for some sunbathing."

"No way. Blackshark is fiercer than a lion but look at him now. Even a lamb's braver than him."

Nox chuckled in his mind. 'I did nothing to him,' he thought.

Queenie quickly dragged Blackshark back to her place. She kept an eye on it once she was back, while Nox stayed around, bored.

Just then, a motorcade of luxury cars stopped in front of Queenie's mansion. Nox looked through the window. When he saw who was inside the car, his brows furrowed.
