Tolu yawned again as she glanced at the noisy hall. Just what did the student union want to say to them to gather all the 100 level students together. She hissed again making her roommate to glare at her.
“What’s wrong with you?” she asked and Tolu sighed.
“Why did these people gather us here nah? I feel like my eardrums are going to burst any moment from now from the noise” Tolu replied as her other friend nudged her in the elbow.
“It’s probably something important” she said as silence suddenly overtook the hall. Tolu looked around and noticed that just a few more students had walked into the hall and they were members of the student union.
“Why is everyone quiet?” Tolu asked and her two friends looked at her like she had grown tow heads.
“Mary and Rebecca, don’t look at me like that” Tolu said and Rebecca scoffed.
“I wonder if you really attend this school” Rebecca replied and Mary laughed.

Ibukun turned over in her bed as she replied Lashe’s text. That had been her routine for the past one week. She rushed home and chatted with Lashe all night long. The first time they chatted into the night was the day they met. She had thanked him for the pictures and ended up talking more.None of them realized that it was already past one am until Lashe claimed that he wanted to check the 10’0 clock news and was flabbergasted to see that it was already past one am.Both of them had forced each other to sleep that day and that was how it started. Tolu wanted to curse as she followed Demola into the restaurant. She adjusted her face cap to hide her face and kept her eyes down as they walked in but since it was Demola she had followed; she was bound to attract attention.She watched as people started greeting him while he offered them small smiles, handshakes and brief hugs. Ibukun collected the ice cream from Lashe as they both sat down on the grass. Ibukun watched as Lashe licked his one ice cream. She chewed on her lower lip as she licked hers. She suddenly wished she was the ice cream and her eyes widened in horror.What the hell was she wishing?Lashe turned to Ibukun to see her eyes widening as she stared into space. Ibukun scrolled through her phone checking through the pictures she and Lashe had taken. Her eyes were glued to Lashe’s smiling face and his gorgeous smile. A small smile wore its way to her face before her phone got snatched away from her. Ibukun stood up and saw Nifemi and Tosinmile grinning at her.Forgetting that there were things that couldn’t be seen on her phone, she jumped on Nifemi and hugged her.“Sister Nifemi, when did you come back? Fikayo scoffed as she glared at the class captain who ignored her as he arranged his note.“Boye, I am talking to you. why did you have to pair me with Aaron? Blessing or Ibukun has always been my partner so what is this about?” Fikayo asked fiercely as the handsome looking boy in her front dropped his notes with a bang and turned to Fikayo.“And what part of I didn’t compile the list don’t you understand Fikayo? Mrs Adedipe made the list, my job was just to paste it. Why the hell are you taking out your anger on me? Are you okay at all? “Lashe please can you lend me your phone?” Tolu asked as Lashe passed his phone to her as he continued checking through one of his notes. He was cross checking for his answers in the just finished tests.Tolu blinked her eyes as she looked at the lock screen wallpaper. it was a GIF wallpaper of Ibukun trying to wink. She turned to Lashe.“Ibukun is your wallpaper?” she asked as Lashe turned to her.“Huh?” Lashe asked and Tolu waved his phone in front of him.“The password bah?” he asked as he placed his finger on the screen and verified the fingerprint and the phone unlocked while Lashe returned back to his notes leaving Tolu who sighed and turned to his phone only to freeze again.It was a picture a pair of legs, the owner of the legs was wearing a pair of sneakers and he or she stuck her legs upwards. Tolu stepped inside the building feeling giddy. Everywhere was kept crisp and clean and she looked around at loss of what to do next. She pursed her lips as she walked towards two girls looking at something on the notice board.“Hello” Tolu greeted trying to sound causal. The two girls turned to her immediately.“Hello, how may we help you?” one of them asked and Tolu tried to wear a smile.“I’m looking for Demola” Tolu replied and the second girl folded her arms immediately.“Demola?
