Chapter 51: The Show Must Go On
“Look out.” I hear from behind me and turn around just in time before I get hit in the head with a ball.
One of the pups had thrown it in the opposite direction but it bounced off the wall and came right at my head. It might have knocked me out if they weren’t paying attention. Shaking my head, I turn around and say with a smile on my face, “You two need to watch what you are doing?”
I can’t really scold them because they didn’t mean to. They are just kids having fun. Who am I to stop their game when they weren’t even trying to hurt anyone?
Shaking my head again, I walk to the kitchen quickly to grab my breakfast before these little ones eat me alive. My stomach is grumbling so much by the time I sit down, that I feel like a monster is inside. Are these little ones supposed to be so voracious all the time? Or is it because they are hybrids?
