Chapter 10 : Submitting to Him

I lay in my bed later that night, the silk sheets cool against my skin, my mind a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. My heart raced as I replayed the events of the day, my encounter with David in the sauna leaving me both breathless and utterly confused. Our passion had left me yearning for more, but the consequences of our actions weighed heavily on my conscience.

Then, the whole debate over dinner between David, Sarah and Daniel put me on edge for different reasons. I was afraid this would somehow ruin her wedding day. And I also didn't know why David seemed so irritated with their engagement when all he had done so far was to make sure his daughter was happy and had the wedding of her dreams.

There was a nagging thought in the back of my mind telling me this wasn't my business, but I couldn't help but want to be there for him. To listen to his worries and be able to comfort him. To take his mind off things.
