Episode 9
Late in the night, on the peak of one of the most tallest buildings in Shade, Julian and Emma sat. The soft air of the sky whizzed brushing their skin which in fact made it colder, as such he had to wrap her in with his own jacket in addition to hers. Wheres, he didn't much of needed it, he was however as stable as a building. They spoke of different things, random conversation but then, just when it was almost time head back, she brought another. "We never really got talk about that night," her eyes stuck at him. "What night?" "That we first met," she chuckled softly. "Well, not like an official one but, you at least met me, but I was so off to return the gesture." "Wow! Honestly, I don't have anything to say." She folded her legs back up to the front, facing him. "Tell me anything, about the night. How you pulled me out, even how you knew I was in danger." "Well," he faced her as well. "I heard the car crash from distance, when I got there you were hurt, car about to blow and I rushed and pulled you out. The car still blew, but then I turned and protected you from the explosion. I was staring at your face, your lips slightly open, your lashes moving slowly and covering your eyes," he obviously was lost deep in his words and emotions. "And you were so beautiful, that I didn't even felt the pain from the explosion, the burning. It's like I was invisible." All she did was stare at his lips as the words filtered through. And it was like her eyes were falling weight, like she had bags under her eyes. And he didn't notice but kept talking and the rest of the words made no sense to her but just the sound. "Hush," she said and the next second after, her lips rubbed against his, her eyes closed but his opened, bit shocked. "Thank you Julian, you're my hero," she commended just after taking her lips off his. He said nothing, rather went back at her getting a grip of her soft pinkish lips, and further they kissed passionately. A week earlier had been quite a companionship with Emma's latest peer. The female mysterious, nature romantist that showed up out of nowhere to her. However, they often times met, talk briefly and go their separate paths. But along, Emma got suspicious, a courtesy to her friendship with Audrey and how it all went down. Being conscious not to make the same mistake, in her little way inquired about her from her herself. And of course, the little reply she gave was not that completely convincing, but at least enough to steer off the psychological surveillance away from her. Like 'she was there all by herself, has no family and just moved to Shade, their first contact at the university was just her trying to firmilarize herself with the environment'. And further with determination to confirm her a supernatural, Emma that day invited Julian to the university, plan being to help confirm with his gift of touch confirmation. Standing in the open, just the two of them, Julian and Emma, the mysterious young lady showed up, radiantly smiling at Julian. One could've seen the look on his face, like that was his first time of sight since his was born. Overwhelmed with shock, taken completely aback. "Lu. . ." "Lucy," Lucy took it right from his mouth as he uttered, stretching fourth a hand. And it was so fast that Emma didn't noticed because her suspicion hadn't reached that yet. He froze, and his hand itself was too frozen to leave his body to receive the handshake. However, Lucy kept smiling and her eyes hadn't moved a bit from him. "Come on. . .!" Don't be a weirdo," Emma forcefully pulled his hand from his body and merged with Lucy's. "Julian, huh," Lucy exclaimed. Emma immediately grimaced at her and asked, "How do you know his name?" "You didn't noticed but you mentioned his name several times while with me," she replied. "Alright, let me get my notes from a friend, I'll be right back," Emma requested and walked away. "Lucy. . . How?" He softly asked and reached his hand slowly and placed beside her left cheek. Playing along, she closed her eyes softly rubbing her face in his palm, gently breathing in and out. She then raised and placed her left palm as well behind his hand on her cheek, and suddenly, a light glowed in her palm and his hand began to burn. "Ouch!" He pulled it away with hast. "You burnt me!" He yelped. "Oops!" She feigned ignorance. "And you sure know that won't be healing any moment soon." "How's this possible? I held your body in my arms." "Don't bother about that, what you should be bothered about is what to tell your girlfriend when she returns. I know she called you out here to confirm if I am a supernatural. So what will you tell her?" Looking pass her Emma was already approaching and he was in fact hung on an edge of indecision. "I would hide those burnt fingers if I were you," she suggested and he acted on it and stuck his hands in his pockets. "What did I miss?" Emma asked on her arrival. "I just met Julian here," Lucy replied jokingly. "But it feels like I've known him all a longtime." "Wow! I really don't know him as much of a talker," Emma responded, both smiling. "I gotta go," Lucy said. "Nice meeting you again, Julian." "Again?" Emma repeated staring at both their faces. Lucy cackled as she walked backwards. "Like I said, I know this guy." Made it sound all like a joke and Emma actually bought it and laughed as well, while Julian was just bemused. "So, what's up?" She poked his chest. "What?" He gave her that silly gaze. "Don't be ridiculous, her I meant," she said unpleasantly. "Oh! Her, it needs time to process before revealing," he hastily replied. "Oh! I thought it just boom! Tells you what it is." "Hey, do you mind if leave now? You know, I gotta get supplies for William before he kills again." "Just a second," she turned around to get a pass by attention. "Hey!" She called on a male mate of hers. "Is the practical still holding?" Getting her feed back which was 'no' she then turned back to Julian and he was long gone. "Oh great!" She slammed her bag. "I hate it when he does that."CASTLE'S RESIDENCE, HOURS LATER: William was just getting ready to go out at sundown when Julian showed up with a white bandage tied to his right hand. "What's that?" William asked. "Some kinda fancy or one of your stupidity?" "You wouldn't believe," he said softly. "Let me guess, your white witch mistakenly burnt you." "Yes, just not her." "Bloody hell! Another white witch in Shade, interesting." Julian walked closer and said, "Lucy, she's alive." He maintained silence for a while then busted into a loud laughter. "I can see the burnt as well affected your brain. This white witch is spectacular, I must meet her indeed," he laughed on. "Hello William," Lucy walked through the left opened door, grinning. His laughter drastically broke down like the dying of engine sound. Stunned into silence and she wobbled to him and hugged him, while he kept his body and arms straight without compliance. "I've missed you Willie," She said and pecked him. He maintained to his state. "You're not happy to see me?" She asked releasing him. "You died, we buried you," he finally spoke. "Yeah, yeah, yeah," wandered around. "Yet here I am, flesh and blood." She walked to Julian with her golden glowing hands and placed on his cheeks. He trembled as she first was about to touch him, yet nothing happened, he wasn't burnt." "Don't be scared," she urged. "They are bright doesn't mean they'll hurt you. Perhaps," she kissed him, a mare lip touch. "Remember when we used to have sex, my hands will be bright just like these, warmly rubbing on your back. Remember? You loved it." "What happened to you?" Julian asked softly. "So curious, huh?" She moved away from him. "I was saved, brought back to life."UNDISCLOSED LOCATION, 1801: Up the hill, eerie wind whooshed and surrounded a desecrated grave, seemed to be championed by the incantations of a witch, covered in a black floating cloak. Suddenly, there was a sharp exhale from the coffin and from it rouse Lucy, looking around, perplexed and petrified. "Come forward child," the faceless witch demanded in an old woman's voice. "Who are you?" She asked shuddering. "I am, Stygian. . ." The cloud roared in compliance to the name. "With me, time knows no limit, and death is just a break," Stygian reached for her hand. "Come, we have things to discuss and work to do." Fear was all she felt at that moment, still she took the witch's hand and pulled herself out from the grave. Down the village they were, and Lucy immediately fell to her knees and broke down in tears. For no living thing moved, nor a complete house was left standing appropriately. Men, women and children torn from limb to limb, brutally mauled. Bodies with complete parts were fewer than bodies without. Animals suffered no less. Flies, crows and vultures feasted on the carcass. "An entire village massacred," Stygian emphasized. "Julian what did you do?" her voice trembled. "The son of Castle, so far, one of the most brutal creature in history. One of his blood moon's display." "My mother and little brother," she sobbed. "None survived," Stygian replied. "The two unequal specie brothers are only but each others keeper. Their mother made sure of that." "Now, let's go child," Stygian turned her back. "I have plans for you."PRESENT MOMENT: "The witch allowed me to keep my powers," Lucy narrated. "But I was still locked in a coffin, mummified till months ago. And all I ever wanted is to hurt you back," she faced Julian. "You massacred my whole village, my little brother and mother all inclusive. And you murdered me, Julian. And I promise you, you're gonna feel every pain that felt." "I'm sorry Lucy," Julian compensated. "Does she knows she's next on your kill list?" "What are you talking about?" Julian asked anxiously. "Emma, just like you got your mother and father killed, then killed me, then her." He was speechless. "And you Willie," She turned to William as well. "I thought you cared, cus it seem to me you just turned a blind eye the very next day and laughed together as always. Perhaps, all you wanted was for me to make you walk in the sunlight. Well, it didn't last and I think I know why." "Believe me Lucy, I cared but I myself wouldn't have been able to stop Julian on that bloody full moon," He explained. "I mourned you." "We shall see about that," she said and left.Episode 10.EMMA'S RESIDENCE: "So. . . You and Julian, have you two had. . ." Lucy suspended sitting on Emma's bed. "Had what?" Emma stopped her current occupation and curiously asked. "Had sex, have you?" "No. . ." She grimaced. "We ain't like that together yet." "What, 'like that' what do you mean?" She dropped the cloth in her hand and joined Lucy on the bed. "We just kissed ones, and we really haven't even talked about it since. He hasn't even asked me out yet." "Does he?" "I don't get it," she exercised confusion. "I mean will he? Do you think he will?" "It doesn't matter, all I know is he loves me," she placed a hand on her chest looking aimlessly up. "I see it when I look in his eyes, he's got my back. So caring and protective." "Protective, from what actually?" She hastily asked.&nbs
Episode 11.SOMEWHERE IN THE TOWN: Random screams and yelps echoed throughout the building. People running up and down without definite direction, the lights were off making it even more horrific. Soon, not just the loud screams but all noise went mute, not a single sound made. And from the darkness heard footsteps encroaching and then suddenly stopped. "Please, don't kill me," a voice in the room spoke as the footsteps stopped right in front of it. From the sound of it, it trembled as the speaker was was overwhelmed with fear. The lights came back on and there was William, showered in and standing with blood dripping from underneath his chin, hands not the less. And he used his palm and stroke his hair to the back as he walked more closer to the last man standing. "I'll ask you this just once," William raised without a sense of humor. "Where is my brother?" "I-I don't know," he stuttered. "I swear."&
Episode 12.FOREST, SHADE AND HILLTOP BORDER: "Keep moving Rex, keep pushing forward," Alisa urged as she supported his wounded companion. "We are already in Shade, we need to get out of sight." "Leave me. Save yourself Alisa, save yourself." "We're in this together, to the end." Together they kept shuffling on and further, and after a while they rested under a tree with her changing his bandages as they were all soaked in blood. "Alisa!" Rex hyped alarmingly. "Stay still," she held him back. "No," he protested breathlessly. "I can hear them, they're catching up," he then held her arm. "Look, you gotta go, I'm a dead man already, but you, you have to get the pearl to him and complete the mission." "Nobody is going nowhere," an angry man showed up before them. He was softly growling and his eyes glowed blue. He was a werewolf, an alpha and more came behind him, omegas.&nbs

That afternoon, William along Alisa returned from a walk and the welcome gesture was pleasing, Julian was up, as a matter of fact dressing up. "Welcome back brother," William gestured, widely smiling. "William, thanks," Julian appreciated as he just finished tying up his shoe lace. "Who's this?" He asked referring to Alisa. "Alisa, daughter of Agnes," William replied. "Agnes, remember her?" "Of course, her mother, your paramour." Now that was awkward, William got awkward, especially with Alisa's presence there. "It wasn't just that," William to Alisa. "We were strictly professional." "I know all that,
pisode 14.EMMA'S RESIDENCE: The neighborhood was silent, the streets cleared of people, probably gone to work. But the few remaining were indoors as the sun was so harsh and burning. In the house, Daniel walked out from his room only to find three agile men dressed abnormal from the usual, social way. They had hard gloves on, boots and two had hats on. Immediately, he reached his hand slowly to the back of his waist. "Nah, nah," one of them waggled a finger at him in disapproval. "I wouldn't." "Jake," Daniel withdrew both his hand and intention, then calmly walked to them. "It's been a long time Daniel," Jake, the possible leader said smiling. "And I expect it to be longer," Daniel said. Episode 16. Driving through the quiet road of the forest in broad daylight, the conversation between the two ladies was lifeless and dull. Emma barely brought up a scintillating topic to cheer the moment, her hands were straight up the steering and eyes focused to the front. However the mind held a mood of its own. Alisa sitting by the right side of the front seat would stare at her, and try to get laid but all she could vibe was the thought of her hair being cut low, which might be responsible for her woebegone face. Well, could that be it, because she even looked more gorgeous with the hair cut, especially it being dyed grey, where apparently they were just coming from. "What's up," Alisa suddenly inquired. "Why the long face since from the Salon?" She steered her face slightly to Alisa and then back on the road quietly. "Well, I still ain't worth being your friend," Alisa withered dejectedly. Emma i
Episode 17.FAR FAR FROM SHADE, SEPTEMBER 1767: Down the road the chariots and horses hopped up and down with loads and goods, and even oxes with a truck load attached to their backs. And down the market dead busy with numerous activities, some ladies sang to and fro. "The slaves seem to be very familiar with you," said a woman in her late 40s, dressed in a long ankle flare gown, sandals and a butterfly hat and scarf round her neck. She stood smiling wryly with a folded arm which a little basket hung on. The addressee, a man in his early 50s sharply turned as he backed her. For a moment he was silent, but then spoke, "Eva. . ." He however expressed a smile and made to move to her but stopped, he just then was conscious of his brace compass clocking constantly, and he slowly lifted his face on to her.
