Chapter 17: Fight Between Dragon and Lycan

I tossed and turned all night. Not only am I so frustrated about my current guy situation, but I am sexually frustrated. I haven’t had a release since the night before we left for the mythical lands. I groaned when the first signs of morning light passed through my window. I painstakingly hauled myself out of bed and changed into my workout clothes. I grabbed my phone, headphones, and a bottle of water. Our pack territory has a great area to walk and run. Our views here are so beautiful with the rolling landscape and our crystal-clear lake. It’s even prettier at night when the string lights come on. The lights reflect off the water like the stars that shine in the sky. I love my home. I love my people.

Chapter 18: An Image to Uphold~ Brax ~King Gabriel is a tough opponent. A worthy sparring partner for me. I could have got him to tap out when I rolled him over and put him on his back, but I couldn’t let him look bad in front of his people. That would be an awful thing to have held over your head. I can take the heat, because to them I am still young and learning. He is a seasoned fighter though. For him, losing to me would be devastating to his image as Lycan King. Humans and other races fear us, and we don’t tolerate them. The royal Lycan family are dear to my people though. They are some of our closest friends, and our only friends outside of our kingdom.

Chapter 19: Don’t Worry About What Could Happen~ Willow ~Normally I would be eager to get to the fights that my day would just drag by. Today though, it seemed to speed by. I am not ready to face what could happen when Drake finds Brax with me. I have half the mind to just stay home, but I can’t just lock myself away the entire time Brax is here. I also can’t keep this from Drake forever. Drake and I are not even together. I shouldn’t be feeling this way. If the two of them get into a fight, it’s not my freaking fault. Still… a fight is one thing, but a fight over me is different. I never want that. I may be a woman, but I can defend myself. The guilt would overtake me if one of them got hurt, or worse. I know how Drake’s temper is, and there we would be surrounded by his friends. Brax would be outnumbered.

Chapter 20: You can’t claim me~ Willow ~“Yeah, nice to meet you. You can call me Brax. You’re an alpha, right?” Brax asked him.“That’s right. I am here training for a while. My father and alpha Gabriel are good friends. Maybe you and I can spar a little.” Lance said enthusiastically.“Yeah, catch me anytime I’m on the field. I’d be glad to see what you're made of.” Brax smiled at Lance, then turned to look at me. I could see a possessive look in his eyes. Brax walked up to me and grabbed my waist pulling me closer to him. “Are you ready, sexy?” Damn him! He is trying to make Lance think we are together.

Chapter 21: I’ll Fly You Away~ Willow ~Brax walked the bike out of the driveway until we were able to get up to speed enough for him to hold the bike up. It’s completely dark. The only lighting is the moon, stars, and the headlight from the bike. It felt like things were moving in slow motion, though Brax didn’t take his time showing what the bike could do. I giggled and squealed as he lifted the front wheel in the air. Brax leaned his body going with the flow of the curves. I followed his movements as if we were one. We would lean into curves so far that our knees were inches from touching the pavement that was speeding by. Chapter 22: I dare you to move~ BRAX ~I know Drake said something that is now bothering Willow. I’m not going to press her about it though. It will only piss me off and I don’t want to make her any more uncomfortable than she already is about this situation. I know she is worried about Drake and I fighting. I am desperate to have a go at him, but not if it hurts her. Something happened between us tonight. I always cared about Willow; I could easily fall in love with her. Tonight, I felt like she could love me back.Willow hugged my back as we entered town. It felt so good to have her arms wrapped around me. She directed me toward a part of town that didn’t look so friendly. The steam from the sewers below were rising into the streets being illuminated by the streetlights. CHAPTER 23: Controlling His Temper~ Willow ~Once we were back at the packhouse, Brax and I walked quietly to our rooms. He could tell that I need space right now. I am an idiot for thinking that I could take Brax around Drake without anything happening. That was all my fault, and poor Brax, he tried so hard to keep control of his temper. Chapter 24: A Hidden Agenda~ Brax ~I asked a random girl to go out with me tonight. I had asked her before going to the training field. I just asked the first pretty girl I looked at in the dining hall. It works out good though, I heard Lance tell Willow they are going out to a club tonight. There’s no way she will let me go along with her and Lance, so I will have to wait for them to leave and follow them unless my date knows where that particular club is. It will be like we just so happened to be there, but Willow will know that I set this whole thing up. I’ll have to make it look like I am really into this girl. Damn, what was her name again?
