I hold my breath, staring up at Viktor. He waits for an answer to his very personal question.
“ I want to go back now. ” I breath and lower my gaze.
“ Okay. ” Viktor understands that he has asked a strange question so he doesn’t pushes me to answer him.
Instead, we both begin to walk back to the castle. This time, we both remain silent.
The city doesn’t mesmerise me like it did before either. Everything seems dull and meaningless.
Why didn’t he say something?
Why did he leave?
All the odd questions keep pounding my head.I mean…he could have walked over to us. It was not like Viktor and I was doing anything wrong.
But, he simply turned around and left.
‘ Disappointing turn of events. ’ A spirit shrieks from above.
