I stood for what seemed like thirty minutes, my heart hadn't stopped from beating so fast. I felt death screaming in my ears, telling me how closer I was to my grave.

However, I wished the Alpha King never returned. It was a lot better facing Mrs Kate and Mrs Marie all together, but it was chaotic to fall into the hands of the alpha.

I wished it were possible for me to jump off that window, but no matter how far I run to, he'll definitely find me. It's as if he's watching me, like he knows what I do and what I am yet to do.

Another extra ten minutes successfully passed by, I mentally prayed the dinner wouldn't be over. Somehow, I wished Mrs Kate would keep talking to him, recalling past and lovely memories that would get his heart soft.

Maybe, that's what I think.

When the door opened, it's as if the world had come to a stand still for a second, leaving just the both of us active. A lot roamed in my mind, a lot I couldn't decipher.
