CHAPTER 9 A Glimpse Of Light

　　Lisa's look of pity towards Gerald made him feel irritated. He felt humiliated by that gaze. To show his strong and dominant self, he also heightened his arrogance. Gerald took his steps forward closer to Lisa.

　　"Lisa... Lisa... Your name is Lisa Angelina, right?" asked Gerald, lifting Lisa's chin up with one hand pressing both cheeks.

　　Lisa couldn't answer because her pressed cheeks became a point that covered her lips. However, Lisa answered it with a look in her eyes. The eyeballs move downward which implies she said yes.

　　The girl was now just giving up after she found out there was nothing to happen if she fight over him anymore.

　　"I know everything about you. Once again you run away, maybe not only you are dead but all your family in Long Sandville... I have to kill them" said Gerald fiercely.

　　"Long Sandville? How could he know about where I live?" Lisa wondered. She never thought that her life was so much miserable as this. He might have found out everything before. She did not have any power anymore.

　　“What do you want from me?” Lisa asked with a trembling voice.

　　Gerald was getting closer to that girl. He put his head beside hers so that he could whisper to the girl.

　　“I want everything from you” whispered Gerald with a husky voice, making Lisa feel uncomfortable for the first time.

　　“I can use you as I want because...” said Gerald. He put his finger touch Lisa’s forehead, keep down until her lips and continue his word, “... all of you are mine”

　　Lisa froze in her position. She could define what she felt right now. Gerald’s touch on her face made her goosebump. His finger stayed at her lips.

　　“... including this type of berry” continued Gerald.

　　Lisa denied it by throwing his hands from her lips. She had her dignity to keep. She did not want to be fooled by this bastard, she thought.

　　“Don’t you even dare?” Lisa shouted.

　　Gerald stood up again. He clapped his hands. Many servants came into the room at once.

　　“What can we do for you?” asked the servants.

　　“I want to go hunting. Prepare it for me” answered Gerald.

　　“Slave, now you had my first order,” said Gerald.

　　Lisa was wondering what she should do for him. He had touched her face. Silently, Lisa was afraid that the man would go too far this time. But, she was wrong. Gerald only asked her to accompany him.

　　Gerald ordered, “Accompany me to go hunting”

　　Lisa wrinkled her forehead, being confused with his order. In this age of technology and the modern era, she never thought that she would go hunting. She has many things in her mind.

　　“Is he really going hunting? Or is it just a trick to kill me?” Lisa asked herself in her heart. Lisa was wondering what was he planning for her. She could not see him as a good person. That was why Lisa has much speculation on her mind.

　　Since Lisa was following Gerald to go hunting, she found out the fact that this castle was too far away from any cities. It was surrounded by a forest. The only thing she see was only trees and bushes.

　　She found out that if she insisted to run away from the castle alone, she would be lost in the jungle with many beast animals. This remote area was too scary.

　　Dark. The night was so dark in the Dysis jungle. Dysis jungle was the place in which nobody even knows that it exists on the map because there is no touch of humans there. Lisa felt shocked to find where she was.

　　“Follow me” Gerald ordered.

　　Lisa followed Gerald who went hunting on foot at night. The surroundings are so scary because it was dark everywhere. No light except the glimpse of light from the moon.

　　“Why do you go hunting at night? Why don’t you do it at noon?” Lisa asked. Even though Gerald has stated she would not ask anything without his permission, her curiosity made her speak up her mind.

　　“Because, I can see my prey even in the darkness” Gerald answered, getting his body closer to Lisa and stared her clear eyes as if she was one of his prey.

　　“Aren’t you afraid of the dark?” Lisa asked.

　　“Darkness does not give you death” Gerald answered. He turned his body around and he pulled out an arrow from behind his back.

　　"So, what are you hunting for?" Lisa asked again.

　　Gerald who had been concentrating and showing an attitude of preparing to shoot the arrow finally broke his concentration.

　　"Blood" replied Gerald in his fierce voice

　　Lisa who was standing behind Gerald began to understand one by one the fragments of vampire life. She understood that Gerald doesn't drink human blood as it has been told in the movies she had seen before.

　　The man with a handsome and cold face drank animal blood to satisfy his thirst.

　　'Wha—“

　　"Looks like you're starting to lose your fear. You've been talking a lot..." said Gerald as he shot his arrow.

　　“I am just curious,” Lisa answered.

　　“Sshh,”

　　Gerald hissed, signaling her to be quiet for a moment.

　　A deer running behind the bushes fell. His leg was hit by an arrow that was fired in just one shot.

　　Clap Clap Clap.

　　Lisa unconsciously clapped her hands in joy because her master could do such a wonderful thing for her. Gerald smiled at Lisa's unexpected expression. The girl was amazed at what Gerald had done as if she had forgotten that the man was her enemy.

　　For a moment, both Lisa and Gerald forgot the difference between the two of them.

　　In the midst of small happiness in the middle of the forest, suddenly appeared someone Gerald did not expect.

　　“Nice shot, huh?”

　　A man’s voice came from behind making them shocked. Lisa turned around. A handsome guy was smiling at her beautifully. the man's eyes immediately caught in Lisa's beauty.

　　“Who is he?—“ Lisa asked in her mind.
